Im very keen to hear it, but do you think the TC06 will be big enough? or should I go a TD05 20G? |

Go bigger............T3/4, T70 or T72. |

Ive been looking at the T3/4 setup, but its alot more involved with fitting it to the 62t head, where if it was a dohc 63t head its easy to find parts for, thats why Im thinking TD05 20G, on 24psi will be around 430hp , you can just bolt it on and make a screamer pipe and 3" exhaust unless someone has a setup forsale for a T3/4 flange? |

You can easily make an adapter plate to fit between the stock manifold and turbine housing.........I ran my old T3/4 on my SOHC for years. |

did you have any pics of the adapter setup? Im going for a different radiator and fan setup so I can fit a larger setup , I did have a run against the old UNR34L cordia, and that had that t3/t4 setup , but my old TD05 14b was still the winner then, I think Goran was there that night in FWDJET , the good old days |

There are many variants of the T3/T4 unreal probably ran one of the smaller ones. I'm looking into one of these http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Turbocharger-DSM ... 414f74b4cd. it might be good for your application also. One up from 20g Id say and it bolts up to a vr4 manifold so flanges wont be hard to find. |

the 06 should have some go but i imagine it would be a bit laggy on a 2L wouldnt it? |

The Garrett turbo I used to run was: Compressor: 0.50 Turbine: 0.63 This turbo was used on my SOHC and DOHC engine as the bolt holes are the same........the best response was on the SOHC, it ran out of puff at 4500rpm when fitted on the DOHC, therefore I purchased a T72 with 0.70 Comp and 0.89 turbine to help with top end power. As for the 06 being "laggy" I beg to differ.........once the boost has come in strong hold on! Anyway here are some pics of the adapter plate: |

Agreed with Bitza.. I used to run 12psi on my first Cordia with 2L 8V it wasn't thaaat laggy and it was so strong on boost.. luved it! |

the td-06 is a bit bigger than the tc series isnt it? that was what i was basing my asumption on if they boost pretty much the same then it would be fine, i was thinking it was bigger though |

Jamie, The TD06 is the equivalent to the Garrett T3..........they run the same exhaust housing (0.63) but a smaller compressor housing (0.45) |

thanks for the pics, I didnt think that the sohc and dohc were interchangable with manifolds, interesting Im going for a 62T which I picked up on saturday morning, so I want to have it ready for the change over soon, Im going to fit intercooler at the same time also |

Ive found a turbo (garrett) HKS manifold, but just waiting for a full price , but it looks like I might just get it anyways |

My question is.............what the hell has the compressor housing been rubbing on? |

Post subject: | Re: SIVART's new toy |
Im not using the HKS manifold but a custom adaptor plate because its a T04 to TD05, Im going with the cordia one , with a get extra part welded on, also the so it shouldnt touch the engine mount when its fitted proply I just wanted to show the size difference it was rubbing on the fan in a Lancer GSR, it wont happen in the cordia though , Ive got a galant slim radiator and custom fan , I might paint or polish the front housing to |
