when under the car i can hear the gears clicking in still.......ive gone threw the manual and some onlie shit maybe its the selector??? but can that just stop the box? do they have fuses or nehitng like that?

im lost with this 1

part no 10 is the 5th gear acutuator. with the engine running in neutral one side should have vac. if you slip it into 5th the other side should then get vac, check that and see it it happens, also pull the little rubber boot back between it and the gearbox and see if you can see any movement in the shaft that goes into the gearbox, i'd nearly bet that the acutuator has died or the pin that connects it to the box has broken/droped out

yer theres vac in neutral and in gear... and i can see the shaft thing moving when some1 moves the gear stick when im under the crap heap.

how will i no if its stuck on or what ever....

could just bypass the solenoid... :|

i had an idea typed up but it wont work lol

imm find out wich hose supplies the solenoid with vacc and then instead of sending it to the sol send it to the actuator u will be stuck in high gears if it works but hey better than nothing

if your under the car your looking at the wrong bit i'd say.. its kinda on top at the front under the air box

part no 10.. i dont have a pic sorry.. tis a round bit on the front of the box at the top, has 2 vac hoses connected to it, there will be something with it not working.. whether its a mechanical problem or a vac problem i couldnt tell without being there... best bet is to connect one of the vac lines straight to the inlet manifold to supply vac properly and it might go...

well i finally found what use were xplaing sorry guys!

which plug on the inlet manifold can be unpluged? can i use the 1 where u hooked the boost gauge up to?

nut still no go...... i took a vac line of the sellect thing put it to the mani an no go still...
and i carnt get the bolt out to take it out to have alook
