more of the build..

looks as though im steering away from a stock resto, haha..

hidden wiring is taking place this week, ive also ordered a kit for pop/locking doors as the handles are getting shaved..

the colour is a suprise to all, well most :safe:

things will start to take shape within 2 weeks or so..

basically all ive done so far is plan what i want done;

first on the list is to cut out all the rusted out sections from previous shifty shit work done on it..this includes the whole rear arse section full of rust, the rear drivers window and under the front windscreen..

more progress shots over the week once im done with the little nibblies..

Cheers guys,
_poiter

sections sprayed black are pretty much getting gutted out..

thats some fudged up rust. i cant wait to see this thing completed. i would love to do a complete literal ground up rebuild. would be wicked to sit back at the end with the finished product and just be like "yeah, i made this!!!"
keep up the good work. good luck with the cancer

The Purple machine diary..

New week, new start of life..

Alrighty guys, as you all know, upon pulling apart the new gsr..i wasnt expecting to see as much killer rust as what was on the car..rust in the fuel cap area, rust in the pillars..everywhere.

Sunday

- the car was put on a large noisey Dodge truck, taken to some country pumpkins house..

Tuesday

- I recieved the new rebuilt engine bought 2nd hand - Cheers Adrian  aka 'rocketgsr'
Will be giving it a freshen start with some new bearings and rings..I've inspected the crank bearings and they are a tad bit worn..am yet to inspect the rings. New water pump is on the cards..

The goodies such as the work head will be taking the stock heads place.

- Work commenced on prepping the purple cordia..you may think prepping? what prepping?..

Id just like to say firstly that Goran did a fantastic job on chosing the killer colour it has now, but with extra careful prepping and spraying..the car woulda came out minter..(also there were shit loads of dings - my fault as well)

..the purple cordia is getting a colour change, something thats not too common but has sex appeal :D

will be keeping it hush hush till 2 week from now..new lick of paint should be going on by then

- Got bored in the early evening so i started to polish up the thermo stat ready for the new set up..

enjoy the pictures..

cheers

peace
_peter

Bloody hell that was fast! I only dropped it off at midday!
Sorry about the crank bearings - I can't believe they're worn after so few km's

11:00AM

Spent most of the morning sleeping..

got up, went straight to the car still dazed..

From the pictures, you can see that i've hit the oh sho straight nose cone with primer. The LHS is nearly complete ready for paint..the jams done, and roof. Basically that was todays process, spent most of it doing the LHS side.

Tomorrow, i shall be done with the RHS side, next with the rear arse coming..

Keep an eye out on this thread, i got a few goodies coming in veery soon :D

Cheers

_peter

Hey guys, not much of an update on the purple beast

manage to take some ugly shots of the new cordia...

its a Ab GSR..powered by the 2L 8valve jap spec cordia engine.
not the prettiest of all cars, rust isnt too bad either...but apart from that..

its really a nice car. thanks to Brad - aka - gsr boost for selling the car to me. it was well looked after...on the inside!

isnt that right Brad?
