I have all my life been a fan of rear wheel drive. This is the first fairly powerful fwd car I've had.
How do you guys manage with Vr4 engines and larger turbos ? Do you just weld the steering box in the straight ahead position and turn corners with the accelerator ? :o

i never understood what all the complaining was about personally...

You know when it boosts it'll start to pull, so you just pay attention and keep it pointed in a straight line... how hard is it?

I'm with Debba, just a matter of knowing your car. I had a VR4 and never had a problem with it.

I've never had a problem but the one thing you need to pay attention to are any grooves/ditches in the road. Like if the road undulates across i.e. your right wheel is higher than your left. If your on boost when you hit one of these the car can pull savagely into the next lane. All depends if your ready for it or not.

A lot of roads are like this. You can blame hot weather, trucks and the cheapskate local government for supplying less than adequate bitumen that will crumple and fall apart as soon as it gets a little wet.

I would have to agree with both of these statements...

Well, it's a front wheel drive and you have the front wheels trying to perform two different tasks at the same time: transferring torque to the road and turning the car. I don't recall that there were too many torque steer dramas with my car when it was stock as a rock - there were front wheel drivers that cropped up in the same era that suffered much worse. Try triple the standard power output and see how you go!

Just get some shitty nanking tyres. They'll fry themselves before the car move anywhere

Power steering helps tame the torque steer too. Until you put a Vr4 engine in ;)

LSD, and knowing the car. and yeah as above, watch for grooves in the road!!
if you steering and suspension components are in poor condition it will make the torque seer much worse.
