 Post subject: wheel question

hey guys. i have just bought some 18" x 7" wheels with 225 tyres. will these fit my cordia or will i have to get 215 tyres or something? will i have to roll the guards or modify anything? any help would be much appreciated.

if it's not lowered afaik it should be fine, just bolt one up and see if it fits would be the obvious answer.

what profile tyres are they 225x??x18?

make sure that the inside of the tyre does not rub on the suspension strut.

let me know how it goes as i am looking into fitting similar width tyres to my car

they are 225x40x18 tyres.

they will rub on the front on full lock,rears may fit ok.
the overall diameter is to big and they will not be roadworthy,
the standard aa/ab 185/60/13 diameter is 596mm,the wheels you are
getting 225/40/18 have a diameter of 637mm, approx 30 mm bigger in diameter.
qld transport only allows 15 mm bigger diameter.not sure where you
are from but i think all states are similar.

umm.. 18/40/255... hrmm i think youll need 35s 40s is prob too much rubber on 18s for a cordia..

They're going to be mad... I'm putting 215/40/R17's on and I thought they were going to be big :O
