| Post subject: | Boot Lining/Enclosures |
Fellas, In referenece to my previous post about what to do. If i was to keep the Cordz I will need to do a bit of maintenance/Tidy ups. Particularly in the boot. Currently I have absolutely no boot lining or anything. What do you guys have? I'm thinking that I would go all out and remake the entire boot/shelving etc. Even change the plastic crap on the walls etc. Currently my parcel shelf is only just being held up by the right hand plastic speaker thingy. The left hand side and pretty much fallen off the wall. I just cant get the old cordia boot plastic stuff to stay where its sposed to be!! What have you falla's done in the past to make the cordia boot tidy and presentable?? Does anyone have any pictures? |

mine is stripped out, its really loud inside, all it does is keep the noise down if u really want it go to a wrecker and pick up some lining |

Dude...i noticed after i bought my car that some idiot had decided to make a new boot lining. They did a good job using mdf and new carpeting....only they put raling in the middle and screwed the fucker down so i have yet to see whats under there. just hope i dont need a spare wheel or jack if they r even in there

due to sub box (bolted to spare wheel tie down), i made floor from mdf, used factory carpet, looks clean, dunno about e plastics tho...you can get clips etc to hold it all in place..try autobarn, tehy sell clips etc... guess custom fibregallssed boot is outta the question..??.hehe.... Dylan |

wat i did in my old gsl to get around the sub box/spare tyre debacle was to make a shelf, which i screwed onto the black square bar right near the back seats and hinged it on, the weight of the box kept it down, but by moving the back seats forward i could move the box up and get the tyre out. just a though

Please tell me your sub box was then bolted to something other than your moving floor... You do realise how deadly 50-100kg of subs is at 100km/h (or much, much more), don't you? I hope everyone else here does too... a sub box doing 100km/h when your car hits something will easily take out your rear seats (including any passengers) and most likely proceed to fly out the front window, taking everyone in the car with it, and not necessarily in one piece. I've seen this happen, and it's not fudging pretty :/ A hinged floor IS a good idea though. I was considering making a wooden floor that is hinged at the base of the rear seat AND in the middle of the floor itself, so when you open it, it folds like /\ <-- that. I reckon that would be schmick

the sub box was bolted to this shelf, and i had the shelf bolted down too. I cant remember exactly how I had it . (LoL) buit i made sure it wasnt gonna go anywhere in a hurry, my aim was more to prevent quick theft and im sure in the process made sure of no quick projectiles!!!!!!!!! i know i bolted other then just the hinge
