Whats your driving style like?

Also what mods are done to the car.

I would probably recommend an exedy heavy duty organic clutch for daily driving the cermaic puck versions etc arent too bad either.

Make sure is a cushioned puk clutch if you want to use it daily though. Exedy is definately a decent brand, else xtreme

Yeah, for those mods, I'd only be going exedy heavy duty. Anything more is a bit overkill :)

Exedy seems to be the way to go for most mildly modded cordia's. I've been using a custom Xtreme clutch for years and it's still holding up quite well.

im actually thinking about getting rid of my exedy heavy duty organic clutch if your interested? not sure what i would want for it tho lol. cost me about $490 from memory. 5,000kms old, nice clutch for a daily. was holding up ok with 165kw, slipped a few times tho, so now that im going for more power may aswell do the clutch while everything is out :P

let me know if your interested, and i'll send ya some pics and shit.

EVO85: do you have any specs/details on your clutch? i take it its a cushion button by the looks of it?
just trying to find a clutch to handle some decent power (read: more than 170fwkw) but still be half driveable and not wear too quickly lol

Just bought a new clutch for my car. Its an Extreme kit which includes an 850kg motorsport pressure plate which apparently is rated up to 14000 rpm, and a 4 puck ceramic solid disc. Cost was about $550.

Andrew, Brad and I all run this exact clutch, it is an Xtreme 6puc with the most aggressive billet MS PP they provide. It is definitely not a cushion button and is rated to 500HP+.

The real cushion button is a 8 or 9puc (depending on manufacturer) and will handle near 200kw quite well. The best thing about the real cushion buttons is that though they are ceramic they drive like stock. There design is truly amazing.

wow, thread back from the dead haha :P
i don't even own a cordia anymore hahaha

i ended up going with an excedy cushion button. held up better than the organic, was pretty good to drive with on the street. but not as easy as the organic. :)
anyone else notice that the thrust bearing from excedy is wrong though? i bought 2 clutches through them and both had the wrong thrust bearing from memory!

WTF!, this was soo long ago.
I ended up putting a Clutch Industries heavy duty in mine which lasted for about 3 months.
I then just bit the bullet and put an Exedy non cushion button in it, its rough but it never let up, i also stopped driving the car daily anyway.

I didn't give a fudge that it's an old thread. I just added it in here so that if anyone searches about new clutches, there is a lot of info in the one place.
