yeah, even the rear seats have a bit of space in them, I can fit more stuff in the back of a cordia than i can in most cars.

Anyway, welcome to the forum, there is a melbourne cruise coming up, check the cruises section on the forum. Did vic roads make you remove the turbo???!?? wtf.... you got any pics of the car? there are only 2 purple cordias i know of in melbourne....

thanks for the welcome mate.

i read about the melbourne cruise comen up and i'd love to come along but there's 2 factors that could make it difficult:
1) I'm still on my learners (thus the turbo removal for bloody LAMS restrictions and
2) The car is in rubbish condition atm.

The bloke that gave it too me had it sitting in his yard for about 5 years and when i was younger he took me for a spin in it and i was just blown away by the handling and grunt of the thing so i'm definately gunna put the effort in to make the old girl come up grouse :D

if ya still want me to chuck some pics up of her how she sits i'd be more than happy mate??

Rob

nah mate it's a Sirius 1.8 in a GSR but due to stupid P-Plate restrictions in Victoria i've had to remove the turbo. Should be intersting though as i haven't heard of anybody running an N/A GSR so it could be even more unique hey??

hahaha

i'll get some pics up soon guys :)

i need a bonnet, passenger side guard and a hatch.

the hatch isn't vital but the other 2 are pretty needed

as for thurbo removal... i'm not sure if its possible but i dont see why not.. you could just run a pipe from the afm to the throttle body and just leave the trub there.... espicailly if your planning on returning it to turbo once you registered and driving it etc...the only other thing you would need to do is somehow filter the turbo inlet and outlet a bit to keep it clean as it would still turn

i had never considered it before this suggestion so it might not be possible but it seems ok to me in theory :)

yep, i helped my mate de-turbo is gsr about 6years ago when TC06s were actually worth alot....
we made a bolt on pipe from the stock exhaust manifold to the stock dump pipe.
And an exhaust section from the stock throttle body straight to the AFM.
Looped and blocked up the oil/water lines as required.

Felt sooooooo lifeless to drive.
