Just remove the controller and go for inspection.

Then gota secure pod filter down and dont have the gay helmet thing and original bracket been bent. And turbo timer wtf. Y is a turbo timer illegal. And thats all the cops found. But goin 2 regency i for see. Car to low. Exhaust 2 loud blows smoke. Emisson crap not connectd. 17inch rims 2 big 4 the car. Shocks fukd. hole cut in doors where someone thought b good idea to put shitty sony speakers. And if downgrade size rims will hav 2 loose the vr4 calipers. And thats if they dont lift the bonnet and say fail.

They should have a separate unit for road and traffic control.
If there was a seperate crime squad, they might actually be forced to catch some criminals.

If the powers that be were serious about road tolls, they'd improve the licensing system.
FERK THE COPS!

I dont drive the turbo cars around much anymore, I just drive the XJ40 everywhere now , Its really weird you can be going double the speed limit and the old people look at the car with a big smile on there face, but if I was in my cordia or evo , I just get them to stop and watch like your a criminal ... lol , and thats doing under the speed limit

while i kinda agree that cops do go overboard / out of their way to get you a lot of the time when defecting cars, and it is extremely frustrating to have it done to you.... This is not a new thing and really if you have that much stuff wrong with your car then you shouldn't be suprised.

either keep the car standard or if you are gonna mod a car, do it properly or sneaky. that way, if you are gonna get pulled up then most times there is much less chance of them being able to find the mods that they can do you for. also, the way you drive WILL have a big factor on your chances of being defected.
i have never owned anything but turbo cars since i was on learners. been defected 1 time.....

very true it you make it all look stock and keep it clean the cops dont know what they are looking at.
so a nice clean car that has nice mods done that dont really draw the eye unless you know what your looking at is the way to go

yeah well i have N/A cars all my life
this my first turbo car
and when i bought it, i believed it was done properly
had few months, probably only driven it on 10 ocassions at the most
and not like its fast either tired motor, puts out less than a commowhore
and not like i was hooning round in it
just taking it for a drive, because been in shed for months
guess i shuld of kept it there
but main reason, for getting pulled ova was for a bov which it doesnt have

then driving around today see cars drivin round with no front bumper
and even one with smashed up front end duct taped together
yet they have the privelege to drive on the road

and there neva around when the real speeders are around

no justice lol

anyway ill stop complainin now
and engine swap to much hard work
for it all to happen again anyway.

most definately! your in SA, so will be different to VIC.... but as far as i am aware, you can do whatever the hell you want to a car as long as an engineer signs off on it :)
this won't stop you getting pulled over, it may not even stop them defecting you. but it should make it a hell of a lot easier to clear!
you may even be able to walk into your *VICROADS equivalent* office and just straight up change your engine number! as certain model cordias did infact come with a 4g63, you may be able to change it over.
In VIC, i just walked into vicroads office and said i replaced the engine, gave them the 4g63 engine number and they changed it straight over. this was a SOHC motor, but unless something came up on the computer, a vr4 motor would have been just as easy. the only thing that happened was the officer attempted to check the engine number, but the SOHC is behind the turbo anyway, so you can't see it.

as for your oil leaks.... do you have an air compressor? or a mate with one?
the day before you go to clear the defect, get the compressor and attach one of those degreaser guns to it. something like this: Image

fill it with kero and go to town underneath the car. if your gonna do ontop of the motor, be real carefull around all your eletrics. this works absolute wonders and will get most of the shit off! and doing it the day before, means there shouldn't be much there the next day (unless your leak is REEEEAAAAALLLLL bad!)
