what kind of power would you expect to pull from a cordia after 28 years of running or even with a refreshed engine i have been told about 100kw's on stock boost would be what you shoudl expect what you you get on 12pis, 14 or 16psi just thought i would try and find out what i am in for again |

This was my effort approx 2 years ago, not stock but still 1.8 ltr and made 183hp atw. Rebuilt the engine 4g62 Removed balance shafts, balanced engine, lightened flywheel, 1mm over pistons, very mild port work [ was going to make ports big as possible but ran out of time] a cam of unknown specs [regrind] multipoint injection, 390cc injectors wolf 3d running the fuel only, std ignition and dizzy, fairly large ic, 2.5" zorst. std tc06 Have now done 1500km on engine and thought i should get it tuned properly, here's the result at about 10-11psi. |

Quote: thats good work mate for a nice clean dayley driver have you have any problems with it afrter doing the rebulid The car gave no problems ( apart from traction ) and was used every day until it was stolen . Power came on quite sharply and looked like it would've made a fair bit more if i'd got around to it. |

my car with standard 4g62, highflow tc06, 2.5 exhaust, cooler and 15psi ish made around 110kw @ fronts from memory. same car - single cam 4g63, vr4 forgies, headwork, bigger highflow tc06, multi point, microtech made 170kw @ the fronts. tried a few things but could not get past the 170kw mark was still fun though and peak power was only at 5,750 rpm ish, so was making plenty of torque! |

dam that sounds nuts with a turbo change it would have made heaps more. good work mate. so it sounds like i will make about 110kw then. its for 3 inch k&n filter hiflow tc06, cooler, and will get the boost up to about 14-15 i would say |

Oh.......I forgot about this post.........but yes Jamie is right.........put too many heads on that motor........the cam was a "crow" grind of 280 duration, used to hammer the valves and the valve train, forever replacing rockers...........not too mention the detonation finally killed it! |
