Hey guys have had my cordia for about 6 months now and this problem has been driving me insane. Around 50% of the time when it hits boost it will start missing for a few seconds then kick in and come good. Also misses when I start it up in the morning for around 20 seconds. Have replaced plugs/leads/coil/fuel filter/dizzy cap/rotor button/timing belt and yet still it misses. It goes great otherwise and I love it but when it acts up it drives me nuts.

Just hoping someone can help me. Cheers

Do you have spare injectors give them a go,
cold start issues, replace CTS or clean it, also check ur TPS is adjusted correctly (see the FAQ)
also could be AFM

and a million other things :(

Its stock as a rock with no cooler etc. No air leaks I could find. Will replace the Temp sensor this weekend as the guage has been reading funny anyway. Don't have any spares at all unless someone has some injectors they want to sell?

I know its not a general maintenance issue as I have the full service history since 1985 which is handy :P

The Cts is not the temperature sender

cts 2 prong upright on the passenger side
temp sender 1 prong and it screws into the side of the inlet manifold near the dizzy

if the cts is 25 years old that would be a good place to start regardless of it being the issue or not.

OK so what does cts stand for when I go to get a price from Bursons? I assumed coolant tempo sensor.

Cheers

agreed, once you know how to do it it is easy and that makes sence, but to someone with no idea its jibberish, there are other explanations around but they take a bit more searching

Ok after clearing the fouled plugs it turns out the CTS did make a difference, now fine on startup. Misses now if you are on boost, change gear, try to accelerate.
