Your car: Stock as a rock 88 AC GSR
Hey all, this forum seems a bit dead but thought i would sign up as it looks like there are still a few dedicated cordia lovers here.

I am a cordia owner from waaaay back and after many years of thinking about it I have just got back into a cordia.

My original cordia was a red 88 GSR, completely stock when i got it and had it for a couple of years back around 2002/2003. I did basic mods to it (exhaust, bigger crossover and bov, tdo5 turbo) then sold it to a guy who i think was fairly active on this forum under user name Steve_1. He had it for a long time and even contacted me when he was selling it a few years ago.

Fast forward to today and I have purchased a white 88 GSR. Car originally came from Canberra and somehow made its way to Cleve in the late 90's and then eventually Adelaide and has been down south since then. Has low k's (169,000) and interior is pretty immacualte other than one crack in the dash and a few small trim pieces missing. The k's seem legit although the service records with k's recorded stop in 2001 at just over 100thou ks. But I think the car was unregistered or defected for a long time as there is a regency inspection reciept from 2009.

Its is registered and drivable, it made the hour long drive from the previous owner house to my house no problems but needs alot of work. Already replaced the absolutely shot tyres and have a full set of good condition standard springs and shockers to replace the rooted shockers and *cough* cut *cough* springs.

I the short term it will need new ignition barrel and locks, new battery, a rear muffler and good service and clean and it will be sweet. The long term will be to fix the body, has rust in the hatch and small amount in the bonnet and bit of damage on the rear drivers quater.

Anyway will be hanging around these forums looking for parts and reading all the faqs (already worked out it probably needs a new fuel sender unit as it only registers fuel on the guage when the tank is full and then drops to E as soon as you have used some of the fuel).

Cheers

Welcome back.

Why did you re-register if your original account is still available?

I remember Steve's car.....bloody immaculate!!

1 Hour drive, you live out North somewhere by me?

Post up some pics of your new beast when you get a chance. :)

Cheers,
Andrew.

No idea what my username and password was for the old account it was so long ago. Email address it would be attached to would be gone aswell. Easier just to make a new account.

Yes north, parafield airport area.

Will put some pics up later, but its just a stock looking white gsr with rusty hatch and clear coat peeling of the wheels atm.

Oh and if anyone has the glass for a passenger side mirror (or whole mirror even) for sale let me know.

You live just down the road from me, I have mirrors that I have just painted blue, pretty sure Matthew or Grant in Elizabeth have spares.
