Haha
I keep updated but had to reason to comment
I always thought the brushes or whatever came out from the back?
I didn't think you had to pull the complete alternator apart
I have an alternator off a 4g63 but the bearing is very noisy and no idea if it would fit.

4 flashes is MAP sensor.

You will need to reset the throttle position sensor for the code to clear..........it's a bastard to do!!!

But here is a tip, run the engine hot, leave everything connected, adjust the TPOS so that when you tap the throttle is reads just above 1100rpm on fast idle then returns to 900 rpm.

Better than stuffing around with voltages as per the service manual.

Let the engine cool down to check idle at cold, when hot should do that same thing, if not re-adjust.

Just remember, if you turn the TPOS anti clockwise you are increasing the base idle, clockwise will decrease the base idle.

atm it idles around or between 850/900rpm but it sounds as tho wants to die but it wont
if i put it on 1000rpm it sounds better engine feels better.
the fan cuts in late temp gets just a both boil or half way.
should be down lower them half way i think.
had bit of water coming out of exhaust .
i think condensation with steam for few min them when away.
i was worried maybe i did something wrong on head gasket .
i think i will need to wait before i get blue slip, i want to make sure car is running 100%
im not confident with it need to take it for run around the block etc
one good thing is it starts first go of the key :D

The cordia fan setting is crap.......I don't like it's setting, don't like to see high temps but it's normal.

If you set the idle to 900 - 950rpm does the code clear after the battery is disconnected?

Error code 7 would explain the high idle.............the coolant sensor still thinks the engine is cold when hot.

Great vid..........you need to change the sensor on top (the one with the black rubber cover) the other one lower is for the temp gauge in the dash.

Fernando, you will need to check and adjust the valve clearances, as they are very clicky. Hopefully that way the engine will run more smoother.

The top 2 prong sensor is the ECU CTS (coolant temp sensor), as stated above.
