I believe that mate and it makes me sad to wreck any of them.

I just sold an original AC cordia turbo to some car collector guy in Sydney.

All original , impossible to find these days , It was too rare in that condition ,I couldn’t make myself to wreck the thing.

Pete’s cordia is one of those cult cars that a lot of Melbourne guys will remember.

I remember it very well from way back in 2003.

It is amazing that it has survived to this date. You can see that people after him didn’t look after it at all.

I actually got in touch with Pete yesterday, hopefully he comes by to check out his car at least once more.

Travis mentioned to have Pete’s car restored but mine is in a much better condition.

There are a lot of body issues with Pete’s one and it wouldn’t make sense not to preserve the better one.

At least I will use a few good bits of his and bring mine back to life.

Your car: 1985 Mistubishi Cordia AB GSR
1986 Mistubishi Cordia AC GSR
1997 Mazda Rx7
1980 Mazda B1800
1984 Mazda B2000
I shared the gumtree link with him and he was surprised to see it one piece also lol

People would meet at the ground level car park out front of the safeway entrance of the glen, there was always a massive turn out, I'd say at least 60 cars, then would head off to a few regular spots, notting hill being one of them, mainly dande frankston rd and cnr of princess hwy and westall rd, and a few others. I miss those times!

Those were the days! At one stage it was a weekly event haha.

I think I sold it 12 or 13 years ago so it's been a while, but it's definitely sad to see it had been neglected over the years.
Goran, I'm glad the parts off it are going to a better place, instead of it all being crushed because there was a lot of time put into that car... Interesting to see that my modified AFM didn't come with the car but somehow made it to you anyway! I welded that up and then relocated the battery to draw in air from behind the headlight.

Best of luck with the build mate, chat with you soon to check it all out.
Oh and i've still got the fast 4's magazine some of the guys were featured in so i've attached a pic :)

Hey mate, good to talk to you yesterday :)

Nice photo's. I didn't attend that meet but my mate did in that green cordia.

We actually met on the Princess hwy back in 2003 driving next to each other, since then we've been
great mates.

Wow so that airbox is yours? It is black now , I got it with that rebuild head , turbo etc

Now I am thinking this head must be from your car too?

See the blue vacuum hoses on the back of it, I am sure your car has the same hoses there.

https://imgur.com/a/MXIcRrO

Slyther I will bring the car back home in 3 weeks, I already invited Pete , if you want ,you come as
well to see the old girl, I'll get the beers ! :)

PS: It's amazing that your car has survived this long, what is even more amazing is that your
chrome boost gauge and silver wiper's are still there after more then 13 years 8)

I've taken off the rear hatch to do some repairs on the paint inside it and around the back.

Whoever painted the car didn't prep the it correctly around the back so paint started the flake.

I've taken it all all off , it's been sanded and sprayed with a primer, i will spray it it over the next few days.

Goran, how is the centre console? From the picture it looks reasonable. Perhaps we can do a swap. My spare motor for some the console and some interior bits?

My centre console is pretty much fudged. Its been smashed and re glued a million times.... It copped hammering during the 90s when I was regularly crawling into the back seat for some action....

Seeing as we are sharing pictures of our rear ends, I thought I'd share mine too!

Hi all,

I've purchased Chris’s cordia from Sydney.

It looks like it is a gem of a car and to be honest the more I’ve been thinking about the build lately,
I’ve been leaning more towards the original look.

I love the setup I have in my car but to chase big HP figures I am really not into it ,as much as I used to be.

I am finding more pleasure in looking at those old 4g62’s and those rubber original steering wheels 

The car I got is all original besides the cd player and the wheels and it seems to be in mint condition.

One in this condition is not common to find these days at all, and I could not help myself but to buy it.

I would still do few things to it, but overall the car will look more period correct.

I’ve been working hard last few days to finish the acid rush cordia so it can be sold.

It will be sad to see it go but it still a great car that someone will enjoy and it is starting to look really good.

Keep you posted with pics.

Original 240 000 km

Always garaged.

Comes with rebuild turbo, new water pump and the timing belt.

New clutch and master cylinder etc

Started motor makes a bit of noise and power steering belt needs fixing, other then
that I was told engine is like new.

I would be silly to sell this one :) Cannot do it buddy.
