I got a story to tell..

Some of you old guys know me from years back.

I was a member before this Cordia power forum started.

That’s long before Facebook and twitter existed (that’s for the younger ones) 

First time I’ve heard of Cordia is when one of the guys back in ’97, took me for a drive.

I remember a comment from back then “this thing will go to 80 in a second gear ” wow

Couple of years later one of my mates from basketball showed me his.

This is back in ‘99.

It just came from the paint, new white paintjob, Reco engine, decompression plate, AVO intercooler setup etc

Back than a cooler setup was around 2k!! So it was very rare to see many older turbo cars with them.

And most cordia guys didn’t have decompression plates.

It was running 20 psi!

He took me for spin and I couldn’t believe what this car did, it was a beast.

I said it back then, yes I’ll buy one.

So I did, in 2000.

It took me 2 years to get it on the road with a help of the mate I’ve just mentioned.

He knew them in and out and he thought me how to work on cars.

We both worked on them , driven them, had great fun etc

We were very good mates, like brothers.

Few years later he decided to sell his.

I wanted to buy it but had no money..

He sold it to a guy we all knew.

This guy went all out and spend over 25 k on it.

He painted a car yellow, plates fwdjet.

I am sure a lot of you have seen it on the forum …

Lot’s of work done to it but somehow it lost his original appeal.

Last time I saw it , was in 2005.

After that in 2006 , I sold mine and became a dad and yes I bought an AU ford 

Cordia story ended.

For a long time I’ve tried to located mine to see if someone has it but had no luck.

Same thing with fwdjet, did find the pic of it on some forum, left a msg , but never got a reply back.

Like most of them , they must have finished at the scrap yards…

I cannot remember last time I saw a cordia on the road!!

So I moved on..

Build a 73 camaro ground up and then sold it, then got a chevelle big block SS

Had many other cars in between, torana, GT junior alfa coupe, VH v8, etc

Became a dad again second time around , life goes on…

And then one day… one one fine day, just like in a fairy tale… while checking the internet I came across the car that started it all for me, not just with cordia’s .but the love of cars in general!

Milose’s white cordia or yellow fwdjet…

Lonely she set in the back of some body shop, with no engine or box and most of the car left in the back seat or around it in dirt.

Each part to be sold piece by piece…. Once a car that people talked about was now on its death bed..

Devine intervention? I Ask myself.

I think so..

it’s a sign and I had to come across it!

Yes yes yes I bought it people ….

After so many years she is finally back …

This is not just any car or any cordia, this is THE cordia ,THE one

The one that dragged a brand new blue AU xr8 in 2000, and killed it, 300 kw WRX rexnxf, GTech wrx,the one that did 240 km on easter frwy….

The one that I got done in on my P plates doing 25 km over and copper let me off!!!

The one that raced a silver skyline R33 , when the other guy was jerking it at around 70 km provoking to do a rolling start, we all know Cordias power from 70 km onwards :)

Took a lead of 50 m on him and when we stopped at the set of lights, his girlfriend rolled down
the window and said "nice car" , the guy was just looking straight, he was so embarrassed.

The one that Steve cordia mechanic of this forum ,saw that night on princess hwy back in early 00’s throwing flames out of as it was running so rich

Remember Steve?

Like blues brother’s would say “ we are on a mission from god”

I am pulling it back from the edge of the abyss…

I will put it back as it was back in 99, white and powerful, she will float like a butterfly sting like a bee :)

I haven’t seen Milos for over 6 years, haven’t kept in touch, life took over, sad but true.

One day when it is all done (without anybody letting him know) I will go to his shop with his and my “camp fire” car to reminisce those days…

Goosebumps anyone…

Yes it was.

Someone already got to it and took the mirrors an the rear window.

Who knows what is also missing, once I go through it I will know what needs to be done.

Body kit is gone too

I always think of this car being white :)

So true, it's been very neglected for last 10 years, I went yesterday and had it inspected all, lot's of work required.

First here are some pics of what it was back in 2005 , then I will post the new ones and we will go through it.

Ok, So I had a quick look at it yesterday.

First of all I forgot how small they are and how light they are. :)

Body

This will require the most amount of work.

Clear and paint are in not the best condition.

Overall small around of rust around the back light and left side front panel.

Very small amount, easy fix.

Some surface rust in the boot from collecting rain water.

Panels are straight.

Left side door cannot open it as it hitting the left panel (had to use the screwdriver to hold it open"

Nothing that I wouldn't expect.

The biggest thing I have to attend to on the body is the left had side frame.

This car had an accident in 98' , left had side.

It was fixed but not as much as I would like to.

There are is a crack above left side front wheel , in the wheel arch.

I cannot see anything from inside the engine bay.

It is still solid but there is a crack. This will require some welding work.

I cannot start putting power to it without everything there being done correctly.

Bitza if you have a manual pic of what the frame consists etc please send it to me so I can see
what is the best angle to sort this out.

Mechanics

Nothing left, the only thing left is the re /chrome water hose you see above and the rusted radiator.

I cannot believe that so much money was spent on that car and they kept the original radiator.

Interior

Yes, I got rid of the yellow seats and the back seat wasn't even from cordia!? I don't know what they were thinking.

I am looking for original AA or AB interior, if anyone has any let me know.

Handbrake doesn't work.

Original wheels from 16 years ago are still on the car, lots of markings on them.

Lot's of work but it is fixible and worth it I believe.

Also does anyone know where I can get this bodykit from?
