But damn, those are some comfortable seats...

Now if only you could put the starion seats into the Cordia...

For those that have never tried them before, go find yourself a starion to sit in, even if its at the wreckers, they're very impressive.

imagine a cordia in gran turismo...

fck with a couple of mods...you'd just veer off the circuit everywhere, worse still with the gt4 mod shop, engine conversion vr4

What they got to do is, put the cordia in INITIAL D, make it an unexpected old hero touge car!

Light, fast corner speeds, turbo advantage, downhill racer.

Then the prices of our cordias will shoot too ridicolous amounts of money like them bastard Sprinters that fetch high prices now!

I know this is an old thread, but it's nice to see so many people shit on the starion! Yes, the cordia was faster.... stock.... do you own a stock cordia??? Cause i don't own a stock starion.... and many cordia owners dream of 1/4 mile times that i have attained in my starion. You would need to spend quite a bit of dosh to get a cordia in the 12's. You can spend less on the starion for the same results. The more I read threads like this, the more respect I lose for cordia owners. Don't worry, I'm not one to tar everyone with the same brush.....If I were to buy a brand new car 20 years ago, I would pick the cordia... better pricing, turbo power, and good looks. But now, I have chosen the starion, RWD, top handling, killer brakes, even by todays standards (I can out-brake a VY with ABS, with my stock pads and discs!), and a unique look. I have driven/owned a turboed, powerful FWD. Scary torque steer in the dry, in the wet...OMG!
Don't bag it if you haven't driven it!

Sorry, I've had my rant.... let the onslaught begin.

Nah starions are all good, I wouldn't mind turning one into a drift car.

I love the cordia but i still like the starion. My starion is a hell of alot faster than my cordia but alot harder to drive. The only problem with the starion is I'm not good at driving a RWD and I over reved trying to show off(drifting on city streets) and blew the motor  so now its parked utill I can find and new motor.

You can easily fit the motor from one of those eclipses.

Plenty of people have put the VR4 engine into the Starion and that is a FWD motor very similiar to the Eclipse engine. It is by no means as easy a swap as the VR4 into the Cordia is, but it is still very do-able.

AXELR8, it is great that you've got your Starion running into the 12's, and I have no doubt it is a great car, but there is much much more to life (car life) then drag racing. I don't know what the thoughts of other members here are, but I consider drag racing to be the lowest form of racing there is. A Cordia is much more suited to circuit racing in my opinion, where you don't have to worry about your launching and it is all about your skill in taking the corners.

Only way to put the VR4 engine into the starion is using a bell-housing adapter, along with custom exhaust manifold, reworked intake manifold, modified thermostat housing etc...

While I agree the starion is a better car, I think the cordia wins out on bang for buck. $1500 cordia + $3000 vr4 conversion = a car that will be at least as quick as most of the starions out there.

They've both got good and bad points - they're very different cars. Daily, give me the cordia where I'm not scared someone else driving it will lose it round a corner, and I can actually fit people in the back seat and stuff in the boot (and do it with better fuel economy). Serious street/track performance car, a nice worked starion would obviously be the choice.

On that note, I saw a starion for sale a little while ago that had a bit of cardboard in the window saying "Chev V8" Went back for a another look and it certainly was a V8.

Imagine nailing one of them to the shops for some fish and chips and milk... with a widebodykit and those traditional go fast rice stickers. That'd be foooly slick.

hmmm in my opinion the starion is a better suited circuit racer.
4 wheel disc brakes, independent suspension, turbo motor.
there was even a starion that came with 4 wheel steer

and that 3rd starion, blue one with the gull wing doors is a photoshop.
