after getting my clutch done found few problems I bought a haynes manual for it shortly after getting it but the wiring diagram colours don't match up reverse lights not working, looks like at front of the box the but wires coming off it are green and as far as can tell by the manual there spose to be red???????? and have bought 3 different wires that can plug in it also 5th gear thing under the original airbox, touched it today car been siting for few days, was hot to the touch. something plugged in wrong???? and the brake level sensor wasn't plugged in where that go? also both wires green??? anybody got wiring diagrams or pics of there cars to help? by the way its got a 4g63 DOHC in it so maybe some wiring changed but i dont think these parts im having trouble with should have been as they are all parts of the original set up as far as i know Thanks |

This might help: Attachment: The brake master level sensor plug can be located just behind the drivers strut tower in the main loom. Hope this helps. |

The clip with the 2 green wires goes to the brake master cylinder................the reverse light switch is a little bit further back...........the photos are of the selector switch. It's so hard to define over the internet. Photo 4 is to run the 5th gear solenoid ............looks like it's been rewired. |

Get your multimeter out and start testing, what the wires do when things a pushed, turned and clicked I had a nightmare of a wiring job at school on a tafe project and it boiled down to hours of work tracing testing and noting what goes were. the car had been re wired by many classes and no longer ran. good news... FIXED IT but it wasn't fun and took time. Oh and what doesn't work? |

aa yeah ive been dreading havin to do that since most of it was from ppl doing work on my car that paid lots of money for they culd atlest plug stuff back as it was when they got it don't think 5th gear works revs are at the same as 4th reversing lights now don't work and i got lots of other wires have no idea what for as i havnt had the car long or driven it much i can't be 100 percent what was working before i took it too them just looks like an electrical mess. i just wanna go through everything and make sure its all right as the wiring harness is stupidly designed with all the same connectors so can be plugged in anywhere. i just hope they havent damaged anything same ol story take somewhere to get somethin repaired and they break another 3 things arrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggh thanks |
