Update: After some more probing and a new 6 volt battery, I have the climate control working successfully. I need to wire the dash to the "SLIDERS" of the foot, face, defrost and outside, recirculate. I need to somehow "ground" each wire as I select each stage, so if I select recirculate/defrost it should light up orange, if I select recirculate/outside it should light up green. Might have a look at some micro-switches. |

the lever is metal so you could just install some sort of wire/wiper for each and then earth the lever (if it isnt already) when its in the position it will make the contact and woohoo |

Thanks Jamie, I also need to find some replacement globes as 5 of them are blown..........the only problem is they are not the "twist" type wheat globes but rubber mounted.........might be visiting Jaycar for replacements. |

More work done on the dash tonight. I reassembled the whole unit and bench tested everything. I found that the climate control won't work without an input from the ECU..........so I did this: I have bridged the input wire to run off the "power" once the fan from the heater/cooler is running, and should give this result: and finally my bench testing station.........just a couple of 6 volt batteries wired to achieve 12 volt so I don't blow circuits. Nearly finished. |

I tried today to find some replacement bulbs for the climate control..........no luck as they are now obsolete.........so, I did the next best thing.......replaced them with LED's..........3 colours, red, blue and yellow. All working again. |

It looks very robotic, good work mate. Now let’s hope the good old 80’s digital display can keep up with the speed of your car or better yet the revs. |

It should do...........I wired a tacho interface into the test bench and it worked perfectly, not to mention I tested the speedo with a drill attachment, that got to over 190km/hr.........but at 100km/hr the speed alert light comes on............no biggie as the speaker is now disconnected. |
