Hey guys, I'm chasing a clear photo of how the factory oil cooler is mounted to the support bar. Unfortunately I have lost a lot of old photos for references, thanks to my PC deleting them.

Appreciate the help.

Cheers,
Mike

Hey Mike, here you go:

There are 3 12mm bolts which should have a large washer attached, these go through the rubber grommets and into the mountings on the front crossmember................hope this helps.

Hey Andrew, good to hear from you.

Thanks for chiming in. No chance did you have a photo of the cooler mounted? I took mine out of storage today as I have the front of the car apart, however upon lining it up to the crossmember to where it would mount there doesn't seem to be provision for one on the GSL. No mounting holes, unless I've missed something. Which I thought was strange as it would have made sense to use the same crossmember across the whole range.

May have to pay the wreckers a visit yet so as to keep this conversion as factory as possible rather than drilling new mounting holes.

Mike,
The mounting points for the oil cooler are under the front chassis rail, don't think I've ever seen a GSL without them.

Sorry about the pic, it shows how it mounts..............if you need a clearer pic I'll put the AC apart.

Thanks Andrew, I'll have to make something up for it to mount to.

My exact thoughts Andrew!

I won't worry about it now until the new engine is in.
