Hey guys,

Anyone know of any spare E101's floating around? I've got no spark or pulse from the knock box therefore as it hasn't been used in 15+ years I reckon its a good place to start to find a replacement.

As a way of checking that my E101 isn't working, I would also be interested to swap it out with someones working unit just to confirm. I'm in Sydney.

I am sure you can use an aftermarket bosh one ( I had one on my car years ago) do a search, there is a good write up somewhere on how to rewire it from the original E101.

I read about the Bosch units but everywhere it says that you would then be without knock control. How does that affect normal running say with 89 fuel? Is it a problem or not to have no knock control?

I had the bosh unit on mine, I was running a very high boost and never had a problem.

Then again my engine was made to run big power back then ,if you are going to run stock engine it might be an issue. I wish I could tell you more.

@Bitza its for an AB

Send me an email on kenlowe2011@gmail.com and I'd be fine to fix you up for one unit including postage to Sydney.

Cheers
