Hi!

I Got a Cordia Turbo AC 1985 model with a G463B Engine, everything is ok with the car, except for the vacum lines. After i bought the car, i reconditioned the engine, and after that, i had to install new pistons, coz they were cracked, anyway, i didn't reconnect the waste gate, and it blew off some of the vacum hoses, so i started to play with them, but its still not perfect. Please if anyone have a diagram or any idea what to do, HELP ME!

P.S.: Haynes Repair manual didn't work out, the diagram unfinished, or may be i can't read it right..... :(

THX in advance!

I've been thinking about this a little longer and was wondering, which 4g63b engine do you have exactly because there are three, all with different vac hose arrangments.

The 8v sirius SOHC engine
The 12v DASH SOHC engine
The 16v vr4 DOHC engine

The above vac hose diagram is for the first engine.

Damn thats the best vac line diagram I've ever seen, good stuff.
Except the airbox line is pointing the wrong way.

I forgot 1 thing. I have a sensor on the bottom of the intake, i dont really know what is that, but 2 hoses connected to it, and i have a 5 way and a 4 way splitter as well.

does it have two cams? if it does its a 4G63 DOHC
one cam and sirius or the like on the rocker = 4G63 SOHC 8 valve
if DASH is on the cover = 4G63 SOHC 12 valve

if it's a standard 8v SOHC engine then that's how the vac lines should be routed. If you have other t-pieces then it's possible that someone put it in aftermarket to install a boost gauge or boost controller or something.

According to the guy I bought it off, my AC GSR has a vac leak too?

It idles just above stalling (600-700 RPM) and stalls when coming to a stop at lights, etc.

Everyone says to "listen for a hissing sound", but I can't hear F#@k all when the engine's running - too loud.

Is there any way of checking with the engine off, i.e. with an air compressor, etc?

Just look for open vac lines or open vac nipples. If you find one, put your finger on it, if it is sucking then there is your leak source....then just find the open nipple by extending the vac line to its "normal" length and seeing if a nipple is in reach of the line.

if it had a vac leak it would run like a pile of shit
specialty if its causing a idle of only 600 i would say check reset the TPS as per FAQ section then post up

start your own thread for trouble shooting after that might be easier
