or a drag cordia hehe

you have all the right parts mate

It was drag raced plenty of times (and won) down Anzac International Highway but you can't do silly things such as street racing anymore and get away with it... and there hasn't been a REAL LEGAL drag strip in Adelaide for 6 or 7 years now. I want to give other people the opportunity to take advantage of my loss and put to use the parts that I never fully appreciated...

Besides, I have another toy to play with now... and at least it's still a Mitsubishi!!!

lol what?

Not selling the sideskirts seperately. Rather sell it as a complete rolling chassis for anyone who wants a quality paintjob with an engineered chassis (I have all the engineering reports).

I would be willing to let the full chassis go, plus full interior, VR-4 front brake conversion and rear brake conversion for $3,000. All that cost me near $15,000 alone (including $3,000 for engineering charges for the VR-4 conversion).

BTW, I have all receipts.

Brad, in all seriousness, putting back to the engineered condition would be very simple. Best way to minimise losses I think. Techincally it is illegal to sell a defected car, the way around it, if ever questioned is just to say "there was an agreement the buyer was going to strip it for parts".
If your keen, I would help you out, very cheaply, I just don't want this to be stripped. Give me a call if your keen.

I second that............I'll make the trip, and give my time and parts just to help.

I don't want to see this immaculate cordia dismantled either.

If I have to I even get parts from U-Pull-it just to get it legal again...........what do you think Brad?

Yeah, I called Regency today and spoke with the one of the staff in "vehicle standards/modifications" and you can in fact sell a defected rolling shell as a "rolling shell for parts" and the buyer (whether it be local or interstate) can do anything they want with it. I now know that it's not possible to sell a "complete" car whilst defected but a rolling shell is another kettle of fish. Thing is, what am I going to do with it even if I do get it through regency (converted back to standard then re-modified at a cost)? There is not a market for this type of car and in fact, no performance cars are selling ATM. Owners are virtually giving away Evo 6's... it's a joke! Trust me, I have given this a lot of thought and I really don't have the time, space and money for it.

I think your not ment to sell the car if its got EPA notice on it, but defected would be fine , as the new person in vic has to get a RWC anyways

You can sell a defected vehicle for parts but you can't sell a defected vehicle if the intention is to get it back on the road again. In fact you can be fined for selling a defected vehicle. Of course, the original owner can always get the defect removed. So if whoever buys the rolling shell wants to get it on the road again, they need EVO85's help or need to tell a couple of lies at Regency.

as far as i'm aware in vic you can sell it, but you HAVE to notify the person, same as repairable writeoff
