Hi guys,

Up for sale is my cherished first car - 1985 AB Cordia (purchased from a lady owner back in 1998). It's been off the road for 18 months now (defected but engineered through a professional chartered engineer for most mods) and I cannot justify having it taking up space especially seeing as I am channelling my funds into the Evo 6.

The forged engine has only seen 3,000kms and has made 226.3kw's at the wheels with only 18 pounds. With the turbo, it should be capable of around 250 @ 22-25 pounds. I spent 10K alone last year on the engine build and the custom alloy intercooler piping.

Specs are as follows...

Engine specs:

- VR-4 engine
- JE forged pistons
- Metal headgasket
- Flowed head
- BC 272/272 Cams
- BC H/D valve springs & Titanium Retainers
- Fidanza Adjustable cam gears
- Gates Racing Timing Belt
- EVO 3/20G turbo
- Polished EVO 5 Intercooler
- PE 700cc Injectors
- Sard PPR
- K&N filter with custom alloy piping from turbo
- Custom 3inch mandrel bend exhaust with JUN BL muffler
- Turbosmart Supersonic BOV
- Microtech LT10
- Bosch 044 500hp fuel pump
- Re-built gearbox
- Xtreme XHD clutch with lightened flywheel
- Custom Kaaz 1.5 way LSD

Wheels, brakes and suspension:

- Koni adjustable Shocks front and back
- Lowered King springs on the back, lovell's springs on the front
- Custom polished strut brace (front)
- Whiteline front swaybar
- TT model Magna front calipers
- RDA slotted front VR-4 rotors
- Bendix ultimate pads
- Custom Rear disc brake conversion
- 17" shadow chrome RSGT rims with crap Maxxis tyres (Bob Jane special) on the front and Bridgestone RE55 Semi-slicks on the rear

Body:

- Full respray in Blaze red crystal pearl (chrysler crossfire colour)
- Custom bonnet
- Fibremaster sideskirts
- Deleted door locks, badges, stickers etc.
- Clear indicators

Interior:

- Momo S/wheel, G/knob and boot, pedals, door sills
- EL dials
- Apexi AVC-R EBC and Speed metre
- Apline 6.5" Splits
- Kenwood 6x9's
- Autometer Boost Gauge

Any queries, send me a PM or I can be contacted on 0400 121 002.

Cheers,

If i was you i'd put it on uniquecarsales.com.au . If you have some time to wait until the right buyer come's along I don't think you will struggle to get what your asking. It's all in the buyer

Always been a fan of this car

Goodluck with the sale!

Cheers mate.

I just realised, I probably can't sell it due to it being defected and I can't be bothered taking it back to standard and re-modifying it again... I have done it too many times and I just CBF'd. I always knew that it wouldn't sell as it is, but there is no harm in trying... and I don't want to wait forever for the right buyer as it more than likely will never eventuate.

It's coming up close to two years now since it was defected and it's done literally 10km's in that time. If I could actually legally drive it around the block again, I would probably want to hold onto it for another year once I remember how awesome it goes, sounds and looks... but having it sitting in a warehouse just isn't finacially feasible... even with the sentimental value to me it has.

So, I guess now i'll be looking at E.O.I for parts. Anybody interested in:

- Freshly built forged Engine
- Genuine Mitsi EVO 3/20G turbo
- Brand new custom made polished alloy intercooler piping
- Brand new custom made polished alloy suction/induction pipe with K&N filter
- Microtech LT10
- Near new 17" RSGT rims (no gutter rash whatsoever)
- Custom 3" exhaust system with JUN BL muffler (fabricated by exhaust technology)
- Koni Adjustable shocks
- Whiteline front swaybar
- Polished strut brace
- Re-built gearbox with xtreme XHD clutch and Kaaz LSD (Somebody already interested)
- 2 x Bridgestone RE55's 215/40/17 95% tread
- Apexi EBC
- Apexi RSM
- Turbosmart Supersonic BOV
- VR-4 front brake conversion
- Magna rear disc conversion
- The engineered chassis with still immaculate 2-pak paint (cost $7,000)

There is probably heaps of other stuff, but if anybody is genuinely interested in any of these parts, please let me know. I will need to have interest for some of the more expensive parts (engine) before I consider stripping the car.

Mods: Please move this to the "Parts" section if you think it's necessary

Cheers guys

Yes, it's an air pod filter - it sounds nuts!

- The intercooler plus intercooler piping i'd be looking at $1,000

- The induction pipe and K&N $200

The intercooler is in as new condition and the end tanks have been polished. The standard restricting J-pipe from the turbo has been replaced from the turbo, hotside I/C pipes are 2.25", cold side 2.50" and runs into a meek throttle body elbow...

It's custom but will bolt straight up to any cordia WITH the VR4 engine. The pipework is as short as possible to keep lag to a minimum and this setup will be capable of up to 300 wheel kw's...

The engineering is awesome!

The tyres cost $450 each!!

They were only on the rear for 1,000km's so they are like new.

I'd like $300 each for those.

Rear brake set up with new rotors, pads - $500

Wish I could mate. It's taken me nearly two years to make up my mind and I know i'll regret it. Just like you, I poured my heart and soul (as well as probably 40-50K) into this ever since I was 17 but unfortunately I have to let it go. Pretty much nothing on the car is off the shelf... it custom made, it's unique and I did a shit load of research to get it to the way it is today!! If I was Jay Leno, i'd be glad to keep it in a massive garage, be able to afford it's up keep, have a couple of Cambodians polishing it 24/7 and have it parked next to many exotics. Speaking of which! :P

Image

I hate seeing perfect cars get dismantled for parts in all automotive circles but in a way I have been painted into a corner and I really could use the money. There is however a solution... if you're willing to to buy it!
