coming up for sale in a couple of weeks is my VR4

in melbourne

in generally good nick for its k's drives well, doesnt use oil and pulls well

3in zorst all the way thru and big cannon
apexi turbo timer
remote central locking with remot starting (great for the cold mornings)
new slotted rotors and pads (2000 k's mebbe)
advanti rims with nankang rubber
tubular zorst mani
custom cold air intake
pwr intercooler (seen quite a few bugs over the years tho)
turbo smart dual stage boost controller (never acutually wired it in so its only running on the low setting)
autogauge smoke series boost gauge
pioner mp3 cd player with bluetooth handsfree and music playback 6 rca outs 2 pioneer amps goos speakers all around and a kicker hiding behind the rear arm rest
saas steering wheel and gear knob
3 gauges in the second radio slot, oil presure/voltage/temp
spare front and rear bumper and 3 doors as well (in maroon)
also comes with a towbar (that i havnt fitted yet)

k's are very high but the motor was replaced with a low k motor when it spilt a heater hose and cooked the motor about 20,000 ago (with new timing belt and all new hoses)
gearbox was overhauled and a new clutch was put in at 325,000

other than that the car has been faultless aside from the odd niggle
could certainly do with a set of front shockers other than that there really wont be anything to spend on it

i'm sure there are things i am forgetting
any questions or if you want a peek dont hesitate to call/msg me
but as i stated, wont be available for at least 2 weeks
wont come with the plates
rego till december 24
chasing $6000

took it to a dyno day a few months ago and made 112 kw at 10psi i think it was but it had a boost leak so it didnt come on till late and was running VERY rich, since i put the motor in after it was cooked i have only ever run stock boost as it is a daily and we need it to go to syd and back reasonably regularly, i have had a bit of a play since that dyno day and have it at 15 now, very noticable difference in go but no idea what it is acutually putting out

a few more photos here

3 to be precise, i'm not a brave man when it comes to ezyouts and 2 of em broke last time i had it off and i needed the car moving again asap so they havnt been fixed yet, i dont think its leaking, but i could be wrong, the bigest problem i have in that department is keeping the 4 that hold the turbo to manifold tight, they just work their way loose no matter what i do, i have been going to go back to the stock manifold for a while as there isnt really any reason for that one on a stock setup and that might solve this but i havnt got there yet, also having the heat shield back would cool the engine bay down quite a bit, gets pretty toasty in there in hot weather

Jimi next time you install exhaust studs/bolts apply some Antiseize to the threads. This way you will never snap a stud again :)

cheers, looking for something a bit more modern and with more useable room so once i have a bit more money together i'l be getting a legnum, should keep the dog happy..

tis a comfy car to drive but the boot is pretty small (espically with the sub box and amps)

so the room of the wagon should keep the dog happy, not to mention i'm gonna LOVE owning the ss commodores and rexes in a wagon ;)

i dont really want to sell it... i am so torn atm... could sell most of my cordia stuff and keep it or sell it and keep my cordia stuff..

cordias are great fun thru the twisties, but you cant beat the awd in the wet....

yeah.. it makes for good storage... this car split a heater hose and got cooked, tried that motor in it as a quick swap.. cranked it ovver and it had next to no compression so it came back out and is sitting on a pallet ready to have something done (needed the car going in a hurry so i bought another cordia with a dodgy vr4 conversion for the motor...

if someone wants it then yes it is.. given it to mum for thetime being to get it out of my way..

they are a big step up on the cordia in comfort with electric windows/cruise control/climate control, and the 4wd means if you plant the foot in the wet you dont even notice the difference traction wise, great fun car to drive but with that bit extra comfort over the cordia

as for power, in a straight line drag it would beat a stock cordia off the line due to the 4wd but prolly wouldnt open out that much due to the extra weight and power losses thru the 4wd system (takes more hp to run a 4wd than a fwd) in saying that if you had 10 to spend modding a cordia and 10 do spend modding this, it would eat the cordia for breakfast and then some
