Hey guys i need a new motor, my 62 just shat the biscuit (bugger all compression and massive amounts of blow by)
If anyone has a 4G62 OR 4G63 sohc in working condition that they want to part with in Victoria preferrably, send me a PM.
Can be long or short motor, dont mind how many k's.
I just need a motor to get it going as i need to sell it.

Yeah and i collected it Sunday, pulled the motor out and found out it's seized.
So i still need another motor

Ive pulled the head off and put diesel etc in the bores and left it sit there for a few days and i still cant get it to free up.
May have to rebuild it, would probly be easier to put new rings n my other motor

I can get pistons and rings for around 200 plus 10 dollars a piston to fit them to the conrod

no the engine shop has a special jig for it as they are pressed on and need to be done well and positioned correctly

btw my motor came up great :D 150psi comp on all 4

Most engine shops heat up the "pin" end of the conrod to allow insertion........stops you from breaking the piston.

Thats what i meant ish, i knew it was on a jig, the way the guy told me last time he said its like pressing he didnt go into to much detail tho he said they heat it and press it out and then in again
