GSL's and GSR's:
you do NOT need leaded fuel. ALL cordias have Hardened Valve Seats, therefore do not require any form of lead or lead replacement.

All Year GSL's:
You only need to run Regular unleaded (92 octaine). You may run premium if you wish, but probably just your wasting your money.

1982-1985 GSR's:
This includes AA and AB Models. These models are rated for 97 Octaine Fuel. I have heard People that run Premium (95 Octaine), and the vast improvement in fuel quality over the years means it will run safe, but id reccomend Ultamate or another 98 Octaine fuel. Dont run regular unleaded.

Its been said that you can retard the base timing to 8-10 Degrees BTDC (standard is 5BTDC) and run Regular unleaded but DO NOT RAISE BOOST ABOVE STANDARD!!
Pesonally I would not reccomend this.

1986+ GSR's: This includes only the AC Model. They are rated for Regular unleaded. so A standard AC GSR on standard boost can comfortably run Regular Unleaded (92 octaine). You may run premium if you wish

If you raise boost you should run only Premium. Also consider slightly retarding base timing.

Sorry to be a pain in the arse, but no. Funny how we all get less fuel economy now more than ever before, on "better quality" fuel over the years. As is the case with anything mass produced, different ways are found to save them money on refinement cost ect ect, so now, your putting whatever shit they feel like making you at the time, it's not better.

Yeh I agree! Fuel quality has gotten worse!

Gas is especially noticable, sometimes your car will run good, and sometimes it won't run so good! Different places have different quality of LPG, so yeh thought I'd tell you my experiences with LPG!

Yeah, the octane rating of LPG has dropped by approximately 10% in the last 5 years or so...
