How is this done?

Is it just by tightening the little screw thing-a-majig underneat the center console next to the lever?

Thanx lots :D

The best way to do it really is to back off your handbrake, then
adjust your rear drum brakes(if you have them), then adjust the
cable.

huh, I think he means check your rear drum shoes and adjust it if they have worn out a bit or replace them if their almost out the window. It is probably better to do this then just adjust the handbrake until the brakes start squeling :D

As far as I know, all Cordia drum brakes are self adjusting.

Problem is this doesnt mean they actually work. And even when
the adjusters do work there is still some room for improvement.

You can adjust them, I have done it before, I just forget how, if I saw it I would remember but not off the top of my head, there is a little spring loaded catch type thing and you need a flat head screw driver to click each notch, you should only need to click over 5 notches I think, can anyone else back this up?

not sure if you need to go as far as 5 notches, but yes that's basically how it is.
