Cordias being the *cough* perfect *cough* mechanical car with their leaking injectors and all, i thought i would tell all of u with leaking injectors that i bought a "AB GSR injector o ring kit" from my work (Portside Mitsubishi) for $55. and they definately work, no more dripping premium for me. i thought well seeing buying a set of injectors that arent even guaranteed to work for what like $100 why not buy the kit for $55 and spend half an hour cleaning ya injectors and re-kitting em.
just my thoughts.

That's interesting cordi4, from following many other "leaky injector" threads on the forums I was under the impression that replacement O-rings were no longer available from Mitsubishi.

What exactly is included in the kit? $55 for a few bits of rubber sounds excessive, but if it fixes leaks it would have to be worth the money!

I would imagine it woud be a whole throtle body seal kit, including throttle gasket, all o-rings and seals.

cant get pics, as the kit is now in my car.
yeah, i dont know why my work had em, but i figured if a "smallish" dealership can get this kit then the proper mitsubishi can get it.
kit consisted of -

- 2 injector o rings (sits at top of injector)
- 1 throtle body gasket (big one)
- 2 rubbers that sit on top of injector and fill the gap when chamber is bolted back on.
- 2 other smaller o rings (wasnt sure where they went)
- 2 rubbers that the injectors "sit" in when poushed down into throttle body
- and about 8 different o rings and seals on by a professional trades person, so i put them in at work, they said i could and keep the guarantee.

i dont mind, i have no more leaks. didnt have to take the gamble of buying DODGY injectors...again. and i knew it would work. and it did, so im cheerin. :D

i was suprised at how much tighter these seal, especially the ones that the injector "sits" on when pushed down into throttle body. no wonder yours leaks air, and shit, my injectors just came off those with no effort at all, and to get them back in with the new seals took quite a bit of effort. my car goes harder now and better economy and no more boost leakage aswell.

Hmm that would be interesting, just wondering how long it took you to get the whole lot on the car? Wondering if you could order one and just get mitsubishi to install it for less than an insane amount of money.

I think the other smaller O-rings that your not sure of fits in the inside of the fuel pressure regulator.

Called up mitsu spare parts in brisbane and they said they dont even have that on the computers. The only thing they said is that some place down in melbourne bought up a lot of the old stock for the older mitsu cars.

Sigh
Been thru this one before. DVG motor group is on the Net. Get a hold of the parts manager from the Wanneroo office in WA and he will be able to get you either or both the throttle body kit and the injectors kit. The TB kit has the injectors kit in it any way. I know all this cos I have got both kits thru these guys and they really bust arse to help you out.

Funny thing is, my injectors and throttle body are fine with no leaky leak at all since I adjusted my TPS and fixed the exhaust leaks around the turbo.... :o So I have both kits sitting at home. And I'm keeping em too, just in case youse were curious...

about $75 for the TB and $50 for the injector kit. DVG in Wanneroo, W.A. got them for me from Queensland I think... They can be had, just takes a while for them to get them.

Nah cordi4 - you were meant to tell us that there's heaps of them left and that they will take credit card orders over the phone and post interstate!!!!

So where do we get them from now - do Mitsubishi dealers have a national database that tells them if others have parts in stock??

Hee Hee! Um ok Chazza, no worries!

OZ! This has got to be the last time! DVG MOTOR GROUP! On the Net, contact the parts manager from the Wanneroo branch blah blah etc.

Has any one actually tried contacting these people yet? Just curious as to whether its worth responding to these kinds of posts...
