yeah felix is right.. i ahve done the same thing but i am using a 16g turbo.. the 14b will spool alot ealier thent he 16g on the engine. but it all depends if you want good top end or good low end torque.. for low end torque go the 14b
... in get full boost at bout 4k with my 16.. the 14b will be alot ealier being a slightly smaller turbo
my 16g's exhaust inlet hole is bigger then the hole int he standard manifold so yer.. it would run better ported using the 16g i guess
i just cut half of the water retuen pipe off and used a hose fitting coming out of te turbo and the other side i used a rubber hose coming out fron the pipe fromt he thermostat and used the banjo end of the turbo inlet side havent had any dramas at all.. and for the oil lines i just bent the feed to fit and the return i cut the middle out of the return pipe and replaced it with ahigh temp hose.. again no dramas
