try searching or looking in the faqs maen: http://www.cordiapower.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=864

stock boost is fine. more will result in minimal gains. bigger exhaust is your friend.

try 14psi ish, should haul ass. raising boost on a stock AB is pointless, with an echaust, especially with a highflow and porting 14psi will go really really well. just don't hit the boost cut, it sucks

Hey,

This question gets asked a million times. Hopefully the last time on this forum :-)

Obviously there is no safe level. The more you increase the boost the faster your engine will wear. It's as simple as that. It's pretty unlikely you'll blow it up at 16-17 psi intercooled. If you go over you are playing with death.

Generally, most people think that about 10 psi is good for a stock non-intercooled Cordia. Don't go over 12 because all the heat will sap your power anyway. I've seen 12 psi intercooled Cordias which have run that all their life and not blown up. I looked at one a while ago, 12 psi, i/c from about 10000kms, 260000kms when I looked, went fine.

Keep it 10-11 non-I/C and 12-15 I/C you should be right. If your engine is fudged it'll just wear out faster.

Alex

^ what ocy said. I forgot you have no cooler. with a cooler 14psi as I said, but yeah, 10 is pretty high for no cooler.

I'm waiting to see whether the last question he asked will be answered before moving it. Sticky because I just wanted it to grab attention :)

I'll move it to FAQ's when it's ready to go.

the boost cut is the fabled yellow wire indeed. it runs into the knock control box. it's the only yellow wire, just push it out of it's plug so you can re-connect it. you will loose knock sensing as a side effect afaik so be careful.

In my opinion I would leave the knock sensing and fuel cut well alone, they are there for a reason, this reason is to stop detonation so if your planning on raising your boost (to around 10 psi non I/C) then perhaps not cutting that yellow wire might be a good idea!

Maybe a Fuel Cut Defender would be a smart purchase to help with this problem though i might spend my money on an intercooler first!! then worry about fuel cuts, also a decent boost controller is a good idea, turbo smart are good.

remember, if you do one mod then you will have to do another because of it!! just plan ur mods carefully and you should be ok:)
