ummmmm yes. That power number is SOFT, especially compared to skylines making 180kw aout of 2.5 liters with easily equal reliability 10 years ago.

umm... dude-man.. FORD LIMITED THE POWER!!!!! they restricted the power of the turbo chargers so that the XR8 didnt lose in sales... cause the typhoon and XR6T is CAPABLE of crazy figures :lol: like, look at that modded engine, what'd it make? four hundred and something or other kw!!!!

hahaha, yeh it's not considered to be good publicity for sales when you're top of the range 6 cyl engine makes more power than your top 8 cyl engine.... ;)

And remember these Ford Turbo Engines are still the R&D ones, which means the stock pistons, rods and crankshaft along with the block has been ridiculously over-Engineered till they determine how many K's the components can last, before they cut-back on the reliabilty/extra costs factor such as Nissan did with the SR20s' :wink:
