Ummmmm sorry to burst the bubble.

On that weekend is the same weekend as the NEC Australian rally championship round in Victoria. The maps for the rally are printed in todays Herald sun and it looks like its using the routes that we are.

Tim: go have a check and see if we're going to be alright. I bloody hope so.

Cheers,
Nick

holy crap..... lol. I'll have to plan another route

grr. i'll go check. Well spotted. Woulda been a funny cruise to get there and have all the roads closed!

Edit...

we'll be close to where the rally is, but the way up (the twistie bits) are well out of the way. Don't think they will have closed any roads, though we will be going through one of the rally points on the way back. See how we go....

Whoa. Lucky your on the ball Nick. That would be hella funny to see like 10 cordias burst out onto a tarmac rally section and rip it past the finish line!
Anyway, ill be there at the meetup, hopefully with a few mates cars and go where ever the cruise the is headed

hehe, worst case scenario if there are closed roads, is that we have to improvise the route. No biggie!!

Also, It goes without saying, drive safely everyone. You're welcome to bring friends, but don't bring any wankers who are gonna be hero's. Also due to the rally, i'm sure there will be police out and about so just enjoy the cruise and drive safely.

yeah, be careful guys! the roads up there get very slippery. My tyres are fairly average so if it's wet, i'll be near the back of the line goin' slow and steady!

I saw the map of the rally in the herald sun when i was flyin over to SA on friday morn, as soon as i got off the plane i gave nick a call so that he could let you all know as i didnt get back till today. As tom said if it is moved back a week is it really goin to hurt anyone? plus with shitty weather on the cards as well as the rally, i know with the rally up there that the roads will be bloody busy as i went last year and it was bad. Just a thought

Ok, it's still going to be this sunday, how about we all just meet at the meet point, and then decide on the route from there. Nick, bring all the maps you have, and we'll have a look at them at the meet point. I know this is unorganised, but who cares! i'm gonna be cruising regardless of if anyone shows up or not!
