Ay fellas, its about time we had another go kart outing in the near future...I know these are always incredibly hard to organise and plan ahead for but lets see what we can do...Invite your friends too, the more the merrier!

I've selected a few choices of my favs from around town:

My pick:
www.acekarts.com.au
20 Carrington Drv
Sunshine
VIC, 3020
Australia

Cool venue, very good outdoor track, FAST go karts, can get them sideways around hairpins.
They run rain hail or shine, rain would be fun for the first lap maybe but after you get over spinning the wheels continuously it would get a little old fashioned, a nice warm day would be best.
9 horsepower 4-str go karts (I think they are the most powerful recreational karts available in Aus)

http://www.auscarts.com.au
50 Salmon St
Port Melbourne
VIC, 3207
Australia

Pretty good indoor track, either the go karts have too much top end for the straight or the straight has too much top end potential for the go karts...I forget, but it pissed me off slightly. Karts are quite new and have tough rear brakes which make the tyres slip with ease on the smooth concrete surface
6.5 horsepower 4-str karts

http://gokartsport.com
244 - 248 Chesterville Rd
Moorabbin
VIC, 3189
Australia

Good challenging indoor track, with ripple strips, go karts are fairly well suited to the track though not much torque, you really have to rely on a spot on racing line through corners to get quick lap times.
Actually I just noticed that they have changed the track around so no idea what its like to drive on now???

So yeh, in the next couple of weeks what do ya reckon?

All places are more or less the same, depends on how long we all want to go for, but no more than $50-60pp should be sufficient, that will usually buy you about 1/2 an hour track time.

Hey Tom,
That sounds good, see if you can talk to your friend and work out what sort of deal he may want to do for us. I'm think a 1/2 hour of go karting should feed our petrol head genes, but see what you can come up with then we'll decide.
