if I can sort out my starting problem, then i'm in 100% does anyone (familiar with wiring up a microtech) want to help me out? this car has been off the road almost a full year :(

Red i don't think your wiring is the problem. Your engine didn't start even when you used my loom remember? Either you need a new map or your ecu is fried.

Hey Tim do you know how to properly use the microtech hand held? we need to transfer someone’s map over to red's ecu.

can the microtech handheld store maps for transfer?

Hey Koray i'm pretty sure it's the wiring because we did start the car with my ecu. remember how it started and it darted forward and had that BOV sound come out of it. From what I can gather my CAS is wired correctly. it's the coil packs that may not be wired properly or it is but the settings on the ecu is not making it spark. I reckon if we copied ur ecu settings to mine and used ur wiring loom/coils with my ecu it would start again without a problem.
Like u said, the only issue atm is copying ur settings into mine. from what i've been told, all u need to do is scroll to the menu screen where it says save then press and hold the "red" button and the setitng will be saved on the handheld. to load it ot mine, it's the same method except you gotta scroll to the load menu. if anyone who has an lt8 want to give this a try, i'm pretty sure this is the solution to the problem. This way, if the car still doesn't start with my wiring, then we'll know it's my wiring to the coils that's the problem.

Ill see what I can do. gimi a few days.

My ecu started your car with my loom but your ecu done that weird "puff" thing with my loom, then it started buzzing like a bee, remember?
And I didn’t want to plug my ecu into your loom as i didn't trust your wiring. lol. So we couldn’t trouble shoot you wiring.
If we can get your ecu to start the engine with my loom (after the transfer hopefully) we can focus on your loom.

This is all so annoying as I don’t have a car to come over and help you out.

Hey are you gonna grab the brakes soon? I cant hold them much longer bud i gota get my car on the road.

that buzzing was the ecu executing the testing mode. it was sending out pulses to the injectors. i read the manual and have set it back to normal mode.

We keep postponing the cruises and it gets a bit (a bit?) ...frustrating, so lets set a date and stick with it. Hopefully it will inspire people into action.
In the mean time, we could have mini cruises for people that are around and about... i know i sound like a grumpy prick, but one cruise per year is a pretty shit effort.

Hi Guys,

Wow my 1st ever post on here lol.
I just stumbled across this forum as I was looking to buy a new gearbox for my cordia (It is starting to jump out of gear sometimes) and the google search came up with this. I have been a member of http://www.performanceforums.com since 2001 and didn't realise there was an actual Cordia forum haha

I have owned 3 Cordia's
2 x Vr4's and one with the single cam dash motor in it

The details of my current car is below:
Name: Ryan Slaven / box-33r (Its box-33r as I used to own a Alfa 33 boxer with a wrx motor in it & box-33r were the plates)
Colour: Silver
Driveable: Running (could do with a new gearbox though - lol), Registered.
Motor: Vr4 motor, ems computer, frount mount etc............

Here is a Pic:

I live in Wagga Wagga and Melbourne is actually closer than Sydney to me (4hrs), so maybe even though I have N.S.W plates and I can be a pretend Victorian :P . If this cruise goes ahead i'm free on the 2nd Sunday in April or most weekends anyways except for Anzac Day weekend (25th).

Sorry for the long post, i'm just happy I might be able to find parts for my cordia now --- Not too many floating around here in Wagga Wagga
