Thats right guys, theres going to be a new zealand meet for cordia's!

We're looking at doing it in feburary next year, so it's being organised well in advance, the organising part hasn't happened yet, so I'm getting interest.

Basically what we're doing is people from the bottom of the country are making their way up to auckland, and going to all the towns and shit on the way with other cordia owners living there and getting them to join the convoy.

So to start off with, I'm coming up from christchurch to meet dan (AB) and we're heading from there to auckland, sleeping in tents on the way.

Other old skool mitsi's are welcome, and other cars are welcome to come as well.

So anyone interested in coming, please post up here and give any good idea's of what fun stuff we could do on the way or whatever, places to go and shit, just anything.

Cheers,

Sam

Oh of course my cordia will be going by then! Can't have a cordia road trip in a corolla!!!!

Yeah the extractors? They're a little rusty cos they've been sitting outside for about a year and a half.... Won't affect their operation though, I dunno, $50?

Sounds good, you're already in auckland though, so it won't be too much of a road trip for you, but you can show us the sights along with mr toke

Hey, sorry long time no posting

I cannot make a decision just yet for the Auckland trip, depending on work eh.

But i can always meet you guys at the ferry and drive as far as Paraparaumu. Keep me posted! The Mirage is ready and waiting for any adventures

Hmmm are there any club stickers, need at least something for a convoy of cars :)

Sort out PRS radios also :)

YEAH! Stickers are a good idea!

For a small charge I'll sort out some stickers no worries.

TygerTung, does the club have a current sticker or a NZ specific one?

Keep me posted, im keen.

The SNZ (silvia NZ) club has a cool sticker its a silver one, basically the SNZ logo, really nice, could be an idea.

Hows your car build going?

Pretty damn good I just brought a 1990 galant twin cam off trademe for $106 which I should be able to get nearly all the parts I need.

I can get whatever you like on the stickers, I'm open to any suggestions!

Well uni is over for the year so that means it's time to get the Cordia cruise organised (and for everyone to get their Cordias running :?)

First we need to get the dates sorted. I'm pretty flexiable so any time is good for me, but as a start I suggest the second week of February from the 5th to the 12th (Sunday to Sunday). How does that work for everyone?
If thats no good for you then put down the dates you will be free and we can work out the timetable from there.

Next up everyone needs to work out what they need to bring, here is my list so far to give you an idea:
- Tools and parts to repair broken down Cordia, including at least one working alternator (had my last one die on my last road trip, not cool)
- Tent
- A lot of cash for petrol, I drove just over 2000km's on the last road trip which cost around $200.
- Food and/or cash for food
- Sleeping bag
- Intoxicants
- CB radio
- Spotlight/torch
- Car phone charger (I can probably rig one up for you if you bring a spare charger that I can cut up)
- Passenger? (I recommend a max of one if your going in a Cordia, people complain a lot when they're in the back and I prefer to be able to take out the back seats and fill it with crap instead of people)
- Medication/ first aid crap/ sun screen
- Spare window tints (incase the cops make you take them off)

It would also be nice to have someone with a radio scanner and someone with a radar detector.

OK, Once I get my galant going I'll sell it straight away, even if I don't have another working car by then which I will.

Those dates sound fine I can take them off from work.

Once the galant is sold I can quickly get the cordia going it will be all legit.

Yep those dates are fine.

Hrmm the list..

Yep to tools/parts - except when you have a Galant, it doesn't break down so often :P

Tent - can get one
Sleeping bag - yep

Cash/Food - yep - but at least I wont need to travel 2000km

Spotlight - yep, don't have CB radio but can probably find a walkie talkie.

Sorted.

As soon as dates are sorted, ill see what I can do eh with work

Be good to meet up with some of the members

The mirage has a radar detector :). I have one of those small PRS radios. Its a uniden one, but i find it hard hearing people on it while driving. So if you guys buy one, make sure its a good one and sorta biggish in size so you dont end up with a tinny speaker.

Would it be wise to make a list of all the people going, and then think up meeting spots
