Well the cruise is only next weekend so I have been working on the car today and going to do some more tomorrow.
I'm pretty lazy when it comes to working on the weekend, but see the proof below :P

So I have 3 things that i'm doing:

1) Changing the front and rear engine mounts -- I have done the rear today, but the front is the wrong type so I may have to press the inserts in and out -- see the "Technical Discussion" & Engine mount thread and maybe you can give us an idea.

2) Check/Top up the gearbox oil ---- I have a leak coming out of one of the gearstick linkages connected to the gearbox -- at the gearbox end.... not too serious (keeps everything lubed up) but I just want to make sure it hasn't lost too much.

3) Hold the gearstick up... I bought some cable and connectors and going to just dodge up the handle so its nice and tight --- So it is dodgy but good at the same time :D

I'll keep checking to see when and where people are meeting as I dont know Melbourne real well and i'll prob have to leave around 5am to get there from Wagga Wagga --- but it will be so worth it lol   I'll just hit Maccas three times before I hit Melbourne.......

Not long to go lads. Finally got my car running (thanks very much to Koray for doing my wiring and to Terrence for all the help in the engine swap, etc).
Managed to fiddle around with the idle as it was at 2800 when i first started her. Few adjustments as suggested by Koray did the trick. she is now idleing at 900-1000 rpm.
Now i have 2 issues left that I hope is not too big of a drama
* No gears - I can select the gears but none of them are engaging. can anyone shed some light to this? it's been suggested that maybe the 5th gear is constantly on or the clutch needs to be bled.
* My front wipers aren't working. I've checked the fuse and it seems to be fine (15amp). Any ideas on how to trouble shoot this?
Apart from these issues, car should be ready for the cruise. Could do with a good wash and thorough clean.

wallan? wallan's cool with me! there's a great road to whittlesea from there that's perfect for cordias, i was kinda spewing i couldnt include it in the original cruise plan because it was out of the way! :D
(you'll love it [wallan whitttlesea rd -googlemapz])

If you cant meet in wallan, we will still be meeting in whittlesea at the secondary college bus terminal @ approx 11am, plus the;

Country Folk --------- yeehaah cowboy lol :P :P Wallan sounds good to me as I can meet there before hitting Melbourne.

I might give "Star_orion" a buzz and see if he wants to meet me in Shepparton and head down together.....

Hey,

they are just 17" Stanford Wheels.... they came with the car and I though they looked ok so I just kept them, they are quite old now, but look ok from a distance :)

prolly make wallan around half 10, means leaving bell st 10am super sharp though..

which way around george? thru wandong or over pretty sally? while going thru wandong is a bit longer its an awesome rd :D

edit: just re read.. of course its thru wandong with the whiltsea rd inclued

no point coming into melb boxxer... your just gonna be heading out again along the same rd

preston-wallan should only take 25-30 mins, just gotta be good as there is distance overs time camers everywhere on the hume

i reckon through wandong! that is a good road... apart from the big bump at the train crossing.

why do you want to go to both meet spots??? you must be really keen!

i'm going from wallan straight to whittlesea and meet up with the city heads there.

PS Brent wont be finished painting his car coz he's fudging slack!

LOL it's hard to get motivation to work on your own car when you're working on other peoples cars all day. I have too many projects.

I say if we're going from Wallan to Whittlesea we take the back road through Eden Park. That road is crazy twisty.
