I finally found a complete TC05 for the AC as a replacement, this turbo is PERFECT!..........no cracks, no shaft play just brilliant!

The only thing I did notice is the TC05 wastegate is totally different to the TC06, and the spring pressure is VERY light.

Here's a pic, just need to clean it up and wrap in plastic.

Here's a good one, after three years of the build I start the AC nearly every month, let warm up then turn off...........just checked and started it tonight to find the fuel pressure regulator pissing out fuel!

I replaced all of the seals when it was rebuilt.................replaced it with another regulator with no problems but it left this:

Bloody spewing, was going to enter my car in All Japan day................might be able to touch up with a brush!

Good thing you still have some time left before the All Japan day to work out what will finish it best.

First update since over 12 months ago!

I've done nothing but regret painting mine in Acrylic Fernando.
I've learnt a lot since then about paint/panel though I would never paint anything but 2k again.

Unfortunately I will have to rub mine back one year soon and refresh with 2k.
At least body work is all done on the car. So not the end of the world.

Why do you regret the acrylic?

2k need spraybooth cost to hire 250/300 dollars half day it all varies every shop charge different .
if your doing full gloss solid color you only going to need hardener & thinner cost varies from 500/750.
metallic /pearls going to need clear/hardener/thinner cost varies 500/2000.
preparation is a lot harder them acrylic you need experience spraying or you be paying
expert to do it cost from 500 so it all comes down to cost.
bit like 4g62t engine and 4g63T vr4 will cost more in the end with tuning as well as parts.
but will be better job or engine

Devastating Andrew, a huge loss for this forum & many others now. It's absolute bullshit. Though a long time in the making I think, as that site became almost completely unusable toward the end with all of the ads & spam, it would be sheer luck if the page even loaded at all.

Did you have your photos saved anywhere else?

I deleted my photobucket account after deleting all my photos from it. Screw those greedy bastards. I haven't looked into it yet but apparently Imgur is an alternative host.

Since that I've been playing more with 2k.
Did two of my other cars in a very high end 2k, one of them being my soarer. Finish is just beautiful.
Bearing in mind i've applied my skills I learnt from painting with the easier Acrylic.

Yeah its more mucking about for 2k, and less forgiving. But its just so much better to work with once you have the skills. Along with the chemical resistance compared to acrylic.

The fact I did my cordia with Acrylic is why I simply am not driving it at the moment.. it looks like shit now. (Although it looked fantastic when i first did it :( )

Thats life though I guess...
