no 1.8 here - VR4

Yeh thought so, you'd have to be a pretty awesome driver to get a 1.8 to go that quick.

I find it works best launching at about 5000 for 1.8s with tc06s.
Rev it to 5, drop the clutch.
You get a little bit of scrabbling from the tyres for half a sec or so but then the car flies.
Any lower and i find ur left behind b4 the turbo gets spooled up, and higher you get too much wheelspin.
Personally i hate punishing my clutch so thats why i drop it and dont bother easing it at all, but in experimenting i've found (for me) it makes little difference anyway.

It does take some getting used to, once you get the hang of co ordinating the handbrake, throttle and clutch you can get next to no wheelspin at all.

I agree, top time, esp. with the 2.0 60 foot.
I have the VR4 engine, and got a 1.6 60 foot, with a 12.4 pass
What turbo you running?
Must have some wild top end!!
T04E or the like?
