My car has been in various small car sundays when I was a member of Just 4s car club.
Had the car since I was 19, and now I'm 36.

I've still got the original magazine that your cars in and i can honestly say that i have been looking up to it the first day i saw it about 10 years ago! I have also seen it at a few car shows but have never seen it driven on the road.

Did you have around 230ATW's and run a flat 12? Mine is about to have similar power but i am stumped on finding a reliable and durable clutch/gearbox combination. What have you been using?

I used the original cordia flywheel but lightened.
The pressure plate (if I remember) was 2400lb.
The clutch plate is 3 puck ceramic.

Changed the clutch fluid to aircraft grade dot.6

hey mate, lovly cordia. I have an old "fast fours and rotary's" from the early 90's with this car in it, when you had the 1.8 litre motor worked off it's tit's with the t03 turbo?

But yeh, good work. What brake master cylender are you using? and was it hard to adapt?

Cheers

The brake master cylinder and booster is off of a TP Magna.

I found the original booster to be to small with the rear disc brake conversion, as the brake pedal wasnt hard enough and went halfway to the floor!!!

Once this was installed the brakes are fine, and it stops on a dime!!!

I kept the original brake bias unit and adapted it to fit the master cylinder.

To change the master cylinder was straight forward. Make sure you also use the brake booster.
The magna master cylinder has its own internal brake bias, so block off the bottom ports (with blanks) and attach the original cordia brake lines to the master cylinder.
The original cordia brake bias mount will require modification to attach to the brake booster.

Happy modifying :)

A mate of mine used to own Fast Fibreglass on Kings road, Sailsbury South.

He sold the business, but I reckon the mold will still be there with the new owner.

I'll keep you updated.

SSB2005,
I looked this weekend just gone for the fibreglass manufacturer, the building has been taken over by another company.

I tried calling some other businesses around Adelaide to see if the mould was sold but to no avail!

Sorry mate looks like you'll have to pay big bucks for a mould.

Sorry,
Andrew

The power steering is one belt running off the water pump. The other belt runs off the alternator, water pump and crankshaft.

Use the original cordia pump and lines.

The VR4 mounting bracket is very easliy modified. Place the pump into the mounting bracket. Where the bolt runs through the guts of the pump, weld a nut onto the front of the mount.

Done!

As for the belt, its the original size.

Attached is a pic of the power steer pump. Sorry about the detail but i'm not pulling my car apart just for a photo.

I forgot to say that the cordia steering is quite light, so I replaced the pulley with the VR4 one.

Makes the steering a little heavier as the pump takes longer to turn with a larger pulley.

That's a really good idea, I don't like how light the Cordia steering is either.

The pulley is easy to change over.
Dismantle the whole pump, just be careful of the rear curclip on the pulley shaft (it could take your eye out!)
Replace with the VR4 one and reassemble.

Pretty pissed off but no.

I rang to get an entry form but only the first 150 cars were to be judged, when I asked how many entries there were the magic 220 was said.

There is always next year. :(
