ey. nice work steve, looks tough!

you gotta slide it! S14's are easy-as to drift that thing should be a beast. Grab some coilovers and a 2-way lsd you'll be set!!!

Thanks for the complements guys im happy with the car thats the main thing and i know its not a cords but i will get back inti them when i save up some more money and after i have spent some more on the 200.

Im not sure wat the power figures are atm tom as the guy i bought it off hadnt put it on a dyno but im keen to find out, if anyone knows of a dyno day comin up in the very near future in melb please let me know. It is also only running stock boost atm so when i finally get a boost gauge for it and fit an EBC i will be turnin it up a bit more.

By the way tom merlin had nothin to do with me gettin this car, all along i said the next car i was goin to get was an s14a and i have so im bloody happy now, car is heaps of fun to drive and as you said tim it doesnt mind hangin the back out sideways im just not keen on doin it with these tyres on as they are PZERO's.

More pics to come this weekend when i finally get a chance to take them.

love the widebody + dished wheels, they are a nice offset so they're out the guards a little. Now you have to watch out for defects!

Power-wise you can't expect too much with only the highflow and no aftermarket computer. Realistically 150-160kw at the wheels with a bit of boost should be right but it depends on the dyno, your limiting factors will be the turbo, the stock computer, stock air-flow meter and stock injectors.

Your shopping list should look something like this: Power FC, 550cc injectors, Z32 airflow meter, Trust L2 kit (TD06-20g Ext. gate), plus the usual support mods... expect 240-250rwkw with that setup, but you can't expect the stock motor to last long with that sort of power, that's when you gotta spend some real money!!!

HOT!!!!! that thing is a beast. 1000000000 times better than a cordia lol your driving in luxury now! Only thing i noticed is the usual gap between gaurd and bonnet from the fibreglass widebody front 1/4! Happened on my mates r33 after 4 different sets, bit annoying!

They are strong motors...ben p a.k.a "tas 180" on ns is running a similar setup with a t518z and cams and putting around 230ish at the wheels. and has been for around a year now on the stock motor...

my experiences with S13 SR20DET's are that the bottom ends are weak as piss with decent amounts of power, especially since most of them are 1991-1994 and on their last legs. Ask a friend of mine who is on his 5th SR (we still can't convince him to build a proper motor). Another friend's SR with legit 60,000kms on the clock lasted 2 weeks after installing an L2 kit.

S14 SR's are newer so they are probably less prone to common S13 SR problems but they are still the same motor. Another common weak point are the rocker arms. They also aren't very revvy and I don't like driving them much. I prefer a CA or RB just due to the revvy-ness and the fact that they are practically bulletproof which I can't say about SRs.

It doesn't mean they are a bad motor, but if you compare them to RB's from personal experience I've found them weaker and less revvy with stock internals. I wouldn't call them a 'strong motor'. And having said that they have much better low-end torque than a CA18 or RB20, they just don't like to rev as much.

I mean you can't expect to push almost double the power the motor was designed for with stock internals and expect it to hold up to the task reliably.

Anyway, I will try and avoid hijacking the thread... And dispite what I'm saying here, they are still a great car and I'd love to own them. I've drifted an s14 before with very mild drift mods and they drift by themselves much better weight balance than s13's or r32's
