I did start the clean up last night in the engine bay ( I got a 20ltr drum of degresser ), and the radiator has arrived , it fits great,waiting for the fan 14" fan now + isolation switch

I will post pics on the weekend, of all the parts and progress, its hard with the little one, to keep a full track of it hopefully better with the 4wd system, I should have done it for the TD05 conversion , at the time also

Im looking at Porsche GT3 style seats also , electric start button , shift light , battery into the boot or behind the front seats , maybe a cage (preffer bolt in )

Im hoping the radiator will be ok , there are thicker ones out there , but on a budget I dont want to go crazy like $700 etc ( maybe later ), the fan should just fit also

ordered my tie rod ends, WOLF 3D V3 , and battery box today

some bits , still need more stuff too , like the drive shaft boots, braided brake lines / clutch line , multipoint,fuel pump and surge tank,

I do have 450cc injectors with a sard 1:1 reg also ready to go for the multipoint

Thanks Koray ,hopefully , Ive started to do more that I wanted , the only bits that will slow me down are the ECU wiring and turbo mounting,

almost Doug, Im still trying to keep track of what parts I still have to get but the list is getting smaller

the engine should be back in the car within 2 to 3 weeks fingers crossed , the only time I get to work in it is weekends , Im trying weekdays when I can

some progress from today , Ive got one RH hub stuck on the cordia so I might be looking for a ball joint arm with ball joint, as Ive probly bent the arm hitting it that hard, the tie rod ends are on, the camber tops fit now, ( now the strut brace wont fit though ) , fitted the twin pots , now I can send the other lines to get made up as braided ones along with the clutch line, and the gearbox is painted

looks good mate coming a long quick its going to be one clean car when done

i love the radiator it means you can run the cooler pipeing on each side of it. much cleaner and quicker i wanna do the same thing now.

have you had a look where the new radiator will sit??

I was thinking Drivers side , away as much as possible from the turbo rear housing, Im fitting a Vr4 oil cooler also , I have to figure out where all is going to go

Im thinking of a cold air intake , around 3.5' in size and getting some air to the brakes also . so the front end is going to look busy

I did get my hands on a evo 6.5 tommy mak front bar, do I dare to cut it up though

Does that 6.5 front bar have the lip? triangle bit?
I've also got a spare 6.5 bar minus those parts. PM me if you're willing to sell.

I know what you mean , there $700 new for just the bar then the lip is $750 , but Im still considering it , I will need side skirts also and rear pods, I have seen your bar it looks good, Im supprised that your not fitting it to yours



yeah it took a hour or so to get the holes right, but fits nicely , I have the oil also, and should be heading your way again next sunday, so let me know if you find the plate, and we can do the swap

na mate i was going to use the bar but have rethought what i want from this car

i need somthing that i can drive every day of the week that is not going to catch a coppers eye thats why i am going for a gsl look on the out side.

but by all means the bar would look nice it all depends on what you want, i will even help you custom fit it if you want
