Looking good mate. That is some really short ic pipe work there. I like how you used the evo stock ic pipe connectors. They are bloody strong those things.

Just wondering about the engine bay connection point for your battery in the boot. Are you using the evo X fusible links or just the red plastic cover?

thanks mate, I really wanted the shortest route as possible ( the ralliart way ) , they are strong, perfect fit too, they are off a evo 8 aswell , the red cover is a evo x one but I haven't setup the terminal properly as yet , but I will be doing it as a jump starting point later on

I've been thinking about putting the evo battery in the boot recently and i came across this thread

http://www.evolutionm.net/forums/evo-engine-turbo-drivetrain/663428-battery-relocation-oem-evox-part-numbers.html

Seems like a really neat way to do it. Although i don't think it will work too well if you want to jump start the car from there.

I've already put the cordia battery in the boot years ago, but i'm thinking of using the evo x fusible link to tidy it up a bit. The only problem is the links are not serviceable so if one blows your kinda screwed.

Are you going to use this car as a daily? Would be interested to see how the half radiator goes keeping the engine cool when your stuck in traffic.

if you jump start a evo x it does pop the fuse able link alot easier ,and also pops if you try to start it in gear , the rally guys re wired the car because of this

you would be best to setup a custom positive post, you could even use the genuine parts to mod with

not a daily , but I will drive it as much as i can , no Air con will decide the days

the Radiator is meant for a Honda civic , so it should be fine , the few times I've driven it, its run cooler than it did before , plus the 14 inch fan is very good aswell , only comes on for a short time , Im also running a new thermostat which is standard temp, hopefully it goes ok though

When the rally guys rewired the car, do you mean they got rid of the fusible links?

Post subject:  Re: SIVART's new toy

yep pretty much , but they still had to have something so it didnt cause a fire etc if the part was faulty

Good work Travis.

What do you think of that intake pipe?

I used to have something similar on my cordia many years ago, when it was running 20 psi.

I've noticed at high boost that type of ribber pipe, would create some type of turbulence and the car would start to shake.

Post subject:  Re: SIVART's new toy

old reply sorry, intake is working good, running 25psi on a TD05 20G, and getting good response, feels like it wants more but the turbo pretty much runs out of hp at that boost level

What are people using instead of photobucket these days ?

I've been away building Computers, but have bought another 2x Cordias and a VR4 Galant in the mean time

I also met the guy from Ballarat with AB with Vr4

I have pics but photobucket wont let me upload to the forum

Im keen to find another 88 AC GSR in black, I did see a mint maroon AB GSR, but he painted gold on the lower part in Bentleigh

I just got AA to get club reg, but ive got to find a oil pump plus fix up wiring etc, but it shouldn't be far off, paint is pretty bad but I think I might Wrap or leave it, Ive given it a full detail wash and Im letting it dry properly before I continue repairs

just fixing the Daily driver today and fishing

Nice,as long as you get it going.

Remember a car on the road in any condition is better then the one all done up sitting in the shed.

We really have to organise something this year.

Evo still around?

Post subject:  Re: SIVART's new toy

It would be good to get back on the street with a cordia

Yeah evo is getting more upgrades. Just takes time to get that car perfect

I get more excited about the cordia than my evo

Post subject:  Re: SIVART's new toy

Hahaha I feel the same mate, cordia is still my favourite. Wife thinks I am crazy.

When I saw that mint AC one the other week, it was like seeing a UFO…So rare these days hehe

That evo is nice. If I was to buy an evo I would buy the 1st one , but they are very hard to find.

Even the old GTIR’s are rare these days.

Post subject:  Re: SIVART's new toy

Im like that with the Cordia aswell, I will pull up get out just to have alook..lol

I purchased the Evo 2 as it suited me more due to what I personally like, it ticked all the boxes, oversteer is fun

GTiRs are hard to find as the Gearboxes are always breaking, you need to put a dogbox in them, same as the mazda 323 4x4s
