its a td05 20g with td06 comp cover, microtech ecu, billet fuel rail, malpassi reg, 650cc injectors, cometic headgasket, stainless manifold and dump-pipe, 2.5" cooler piping, cold air intake (pod normally mounted down in guard with heatshield) just waiting on getting a 3" exhaust fitted before getting it tuned, will run 20psi on the dyno :D

Looks pretty mad!

Nice shiney engine bay. The black paint certainly helps to highlight it even more.

You might want to consider an LSD though so you can make best use of all those horses. I am running 280HP ATW's presently and it's probably the best modification i have ever made...no shit.

Anyway your going to have a ball with this car when it's finished. :)

yehh got a real problem with wheelpspin even on 14psi atm, can you PM details of your lsd? i'll either be looking at a gearbox rebuild and fitting an lsd or fitting a later model gearbox of some sort but heard alot of different things bout gearbox changes n not entirely sure what i'd be in for lol..
cheers for the comments! :D

I am just running a KAAZ 1.5 way. Apparently it is the same unit used on most mitsubishis. Probably best to give the distributor a call but don't expect any change out of $1600! There is a ralliart version around which is significantly cheaper but they are as rare as hen's teeth. I don't know how it compares to the KAAZ though.

If you want to pay a shite load of money in engineering costs and go to the effort of cutting your firewall, replacing cables etc, then go the VR-4. Personally, I wouldn't worry about running anything other than a cordia box because they generally are a good thing. The Jap spec AC is apparently the strongest. It's the sheer clamping force required from the clutch to hold this kind of power that is usually the cause of gearbox breakage.

Hope I have been helpful. :)

Really need one to for Bitza, get one wheel spinning and your fighting with the steering and accelerator to keep it straight.

I have an lsd in the box that's currently in the car, But the box has lost its short gearing because the actuator shaft is jammed out. Doe's anyone know how easy it is to fix...because these long ratio's are giving me the shits, The lag between 1st and 2nd gear is rediculous.

Im thinking of just totally pulling the box out and changing the diff's over  i really dont have much of an idea when it comes to gearbox tech

Your 5th gear fork is stuck or broken. Your going to have to SPLIT the box to find out.

Heres a pic:

Hope this helps.

hey guys, been a while since i updated, but i ended up with excessive blow-by after fitting the 20g, so i pulled the head and pistons to inspect the rings, turns out i had cracked ring-lands on every piston as well as shot rings (pretty common on vr4's..) so im just waiting on the final parts to arrive so i can get it all re-assembled :)

new specs:
4G63 motor (VR4)
arias 20thou over forged pistons
Eagle H-beam rods
ACL race series bearings
balance shafts removed
balanced
cometic headgasket
650cc injectors
billet fuel rail
malpassi rising rate reg.
bosch fuel pump
microtech lt8s ecu
550*276 fmic with 2.5" stainless piping
3" mandrel exhaust from turbo back
HKS electronic boost controller
oil catch can

also got
fully rebuilt gearbox
custom lsd
Xtreme heavy duty cushioned button clutch

can't wait to get it all assembled, hopefully next 2 months it'll be complete :)
will update with pics as i get them :P
cheers!
Dave
