Just a few quick pics of my Rex, the new cordia replacement.

She's a My01 with 70k on the clock, 3" exhaust, lowered, whiteline swaybars and just been fitted with some nice Speedy Lite Fin 17x7.5" rims with 235's all round.

A few mods in the pipeline are sti scoop and spoiler, larger TMIC ( currently in garage), painted eyelids and maybe larger turbo.

spent too much on the cordia mate. Plus, after 10 years it was time for a change. Not yet as quick as the cordia, but man does she corner !!

Very nice mr grumbly. Nice plates too!

You gonna be taking it to a track? I'd imagine with the upgraded handling it'd be awesome fun to drive. I heard teh earlier models understeered?

Any particular reason for stayign with the TMIC? Prefer less lag, or not planning huge power upgrades?

Will look heaps better with STi gear :) not planning to put STi lights as well?

Thought about STI lights, at $7-900 a pair I may not...

TMIC good for 200kw at wheels, I'm only after 160 at the wheels.

i thought it was only the first gen that snapped second all the time?

i think retail for PPG is bout 5k. maybe keep up to date on rex forums, as they sometimes come up for sale; else sti box might be better quality?

Else take the handling over power option and get coilovers? :P

MRT did a test, where they spent 5k on whiteline products, vs 5k on power upgrades - power upgrades won around a circuit. Was a while back.

Stop spending my money !!!

STI is 6 speed.....5-8k for box, diffs, driveshafts, clutch and electrics etc.

May be upgrading in 2 years anyway, so only minor mods this time.

Slight change of plans... (you all knew it was coming)
Ecutek (reprogrammed ecu)
VF35 Turbo
Sti Injectors

Should all be done in about 6 weeks or so. Good for 180-200awkw.

I just couldn't help myself... lol :D
