Hey guys

Got another one its a 85 GSR, pretty decent price for what it came as..It was a bargain buy for a car with rego and having the straightest body! Picked it up yesterday, spent most of today pulling it apart getting ready to put it back together with stock go go replacements :) Yes, im a picky prick lol..managed to clean up most of 20+ years of gunk, shes looking abit better :) Steam cleaned the interior, bloody hell it makes a difference!

On the cards at the moment to getting it running;

-Replace all the gaskets, service blah blah
-Cut off the 90' bends on both throttle and turbo to fit a stock cross over pipe
-Redo the interior back to stock
-Am needing AC GSR front/rear seats and front door trims
-Need to fit and paint eyelids, needing a passenger side one
-The car is running a big fudge off 3' straight exhaust from dump, if anyone wants to swap it for a 2.5' system please let me know

Plenty more but just at the moment the main goal is to get it running right, mods to follow are suspension, brakes, wheels, engine mods

Cheers
_pete

*Notice the RACV badge, been waiting for the right car to throw that on lol

okay update since last night

all new gaskets
torqued everything up to spec
fitted pedders springs in the back

put everything back together ready to start it.... she didn't start :(

have spark, then replaced with a GT40 coil
have fuel
timing is correct, everything aligns
tried advancing the timing, still nothing

suspected E101, if anyone in melbourne has one, could you please PM me
also need a stock cross over pipe

if you look closely i've modified the stock AFM, nothing all that different from stock except going to a flat panel filter. just makes my engine look abit more modern and cleaner :)

cheers

cheers guys

got the new engine in last night, everything all connected apart from the vac lines..ceebs with it for now lol
and yeah tim, my mate is pretty keen on making the manifold..if all goes well, he might even start making them up and selling them - no solid word on it though

in regards to the rotary cordia, thats been put on major hold. i have the shell here ready to be gutted but directions in my life have changed and i won't be touching that until im standing right lol

hopefully i get this red bitch running within the next week or so..i still need to mount the loom under the dash and extend the sensor wires.. :( :( :(

cheers
