Although i've posted up pictures of her in another thread, i thought it fiitting that the car gets a proper introduction.

Its 95% Ready to go on the road and will be cruising around in 2-3 weeks provided i dont have any more setbacks.
Metallic Silver on Black personal plates coming in 2-3 weeks also. :D

Car has a genuine 116,000k's on the clock, and is running a stock standard 4G62 at the moment, with very few mods. Just a polished x-over pipe and 2 1/2" cat back exhaust. The cannon is no longer on the car as it was to loud, now has a much more subdued muffler with twin tips, from the burgundy car.

Wheels are Simmons FR17's with Dunlop Sportmax 205/40 Rubber.

My plans for this car are very modest, tasteful retrim in black leather with a little more bolstering in the seats, darkest legal window tint, and a set of skirts and front lip to match the rear lip that came on the car. I want to keep the car as close to stock as possible but detail it to the max.

I also have a BES turbo timer, which i believe is the genuine factory optioned on, i've been told it came on VL's and that around the same time. Very basic with 3 time settings and a over ride button. But im looking into an alarm system with a built in turbo timer.

And if you ever cant get spark on a car after you change the dizzy make sure the previous mechanic to fix the car wasnt cutting corners by running a carbie model dizzy, ab throttle body, loom and computer.

You know you have already got my vote...and with only 116K on the clock, that's almost unheard of - mine has nearly triple that! From what you have stated with respect to your planned future mods; you have good taste! :P I'd be getting the alarm first and would persist with the standard turbo timer seeing as an aftermarket unit will leave you susceptable to defect.

very very nice. definitely one of my favourite in this forum.
love the wheels and the rear skirt. is it taken off another car or custom made?
looking at the second pic, make me think of my car. while you have both of them,
i had them combined :)

According to a few others the rear skirt is quite a common design and was available aftermarket at some time, but i haven't managed to find the same kit yet. Theres a company called fibremaster that does a kit but the rear lip is a different design.

I've seen the photos of your once green car and the front end is certainly different. I dont quite mind it actually, something different from the norm.

well, the front end idea came off the frustration of getting a good pair of cordia's
front guards. took quite a long time to get it done especially when it came to
the installation of the front bonnet.
anyway, i think your car still looks great with or without the rear skirt.

Thanks for all the comments guys, makes the ordeal of getting on the road a little easier to handle.

Car went for NSW rego inspection yesterday, and my exhaust is to low so i'm gonna try and bring it up closer to the chassis, as the rest of the car is fine.
Running stock rims which probablly brought the ride height down just enough, mind you run it over rego with the rims and i would have been knocked back
on them so cant win either way.

Running wise though its not quite there yet. Its running rich when warm and ive change the temp sensor and checked all the vacuum lines as best as i can
from the diagrams on here. The diagram is missing a 2-hole post that comes of the bottom of the inlet manifold litterally under the temp sensor (but on the bottom of the manifold). Anyone with an AC cordia in Canberra got all there vacuum lines right, cause id love a peek.

I've got till Saturday to get this thing in fit enough shape to rego and drive back home, so fingers crossed.

Well the cars finally home with me, took a lot more stuffing around than originally planned but isnt that how these things go?

Just took it to the carwash and got the rims put back on, gotta organise some new tread for one or two though.

In the next couple of weeks i'll get the windows tinted, but the black and gold plates are off tomorrow.

Here is how shes looking now.

Its been confined to the shed for the time being as I gather all the
bits and pieces to go multipoint. Manifolds been sourced, so now just
working on sourcing a computer, cooler and piping. Probablly chuck on
a hi-flowed turbo as well.

So while that gets sorted I picked up a new daily to get around and out of
town in.

I'm keeping an eye on the kit RPW is developing, but need to wait till the factory warranty runs out.
