And cordiaaturbo im not 100% on what it was doing about 200ish but it was bouncing pretty hard thats for sure.. but with it in long ratio mode i got 260KLM out of her on a nice stretch one night 8)

I have blown one or two boxes in the past 4-5 years but I can't say that I can match that even with close to 400hp. That is catastrophic!!

how could you tell? speedo only goes up to 220... i had mine doing that in blocks the other day.. red line is around the 220 mark.. only way i could think of to acurately measure a speed that high is getting caught by the cops or a gps.. lol

I cant say for sure it was 260...but its a guess as i was way past the 220 mark by about 30mm....

Also something wrong if your hitting the redline at 220 man

I ran out of road (private road) when it hit 244km/h... the car was sitting on 5500rpm (according to the AVCR) in 5th gear when I backed off. There is no way was I was going to look at the speedo at that speed, but I reckon she's good for a legitimate 270-280km/h...

^^ Well, that's not too bad lol

The top speed of an AA-AB Cordia was only 197km/h according to Motor Magazine when it was new.

Just remember that most speedos are around 10% out (higher than actual speed), so if it registers 220 on the speedo, you are more than likely only travelling at 200...

Yeah, I was just about to add a spark to my dying thread... :P

It's currently sitting in a warehouse but it's going to get a new lease of life around Mallala Raceway in a few months. It just needs some semi-slicks for the front (already have them on the rear), a few minor repairs (replacement oil cooler, EBC solenoid and a new battery), a diet, a service and and oil change and it should be good for around 250 wheel kw's and hopefully some reasonable lap times.

I took this photo a few days ago...

Very very nice mate looks real good. Nice cold air intake going on too lol

Are you still going to have it street rego'd or just run it around the track ?

250KW's be getting pretty well up there thats for sure, your running a big 16G arent you? what boost was your 227kw's made on?

It would be hardcore thats for sure 8)

Thanks mate, i'll probably just use it for track work as I have got a ute for a daily and drive the Evo 6 around on weekends anyway. I want to get something out of it seeing as I spent a lot of money on it last year and it's only travelled about 10km's in the past 12 months.

I actually removed the front headlight so I could repair an intercooler pipe that blew off but as you said, it'll work well for cold air induction. 8)

The turbo is the big 16g with a 20g compressor wheel. The 227kw's was made on 18 psi so I should be able to squeeze close to 250 out of it at 22 pounds. That'll pretty much be the turbo's limit.

I'm sure it'll only be a matter of time before I mash a gearbox but i'll be surprised if I can match your effort!

May be a little hard to tell from the angle the shot was taken but was approaching 230 and around 5500rpm with a 4G62
