This is my new ride, a white 1984 Mitsubishi Cordia 5 speed hatch. Runs a rebuilt 4g62T With 30/70 lumpy cam, lowered compression, aftermarket highflow turbo running @ 14PSI (16PSI on track), Intercooler with custom pipes, cai, blowoff valve, screamer pipe, under bonnet boost controller, brass button clutch, huge front cross slotted and drilled discs, rear vr4 disc brake conversion, titanium CV joints, lowered springs and shocks, pioneer 1950UB headunit, 2 clarion amps, pioneer 6x9's in doors (annoying lol) and 15 inch pioneer sub in tall enclosed box! Probably missed a few things there but you get the picture. faster than my tuned 200KW holden vn v8 calais i owned before and fuel economy is great compared to it when not on boost all the time... Tell us what you think!

Cheers for the comments guys your cars look grand as well but havent had time to fully go through this site.. As for plans it will do for now as i havent even had the opportunity to wash it but i wouldnt mind looking into the multipoint injection system and a vr4 5 speed box which should make it really move... currently im running the stock throttle body injectors (oversized) with a bigger mechanical fuel pump. Any comments and suggestions are welcome because this is new territory for me compared to holdens and fords lol..

Bigger Injectors with a mechanical fuel pump??? So it has an adjustable FPR? Could you take a pic i've never heard of a mech pump setup on these! Could be a first.

Looks good mate , don't know about the oversize injectors though.....think it would require a aftermarket
ecu to run them. If it already has a aftermarket ecu, going multi point won't cost too much.
They are a quick fun car to drive...............enjoy..........

pSI i couldnt hear a buzz when i turned the ignition on so figured it was mechanical... ill have to listen a little bit more next time i switch the ignition on lol..

And i dont know about the ecu, (dont even know where its located???) was just told the two injectors were oversized..I only just got the car off a noob for a cheap ass price as he was desperate to fix his 4wd clutch. For what works been done to it must of cost thousands, looks like a ground up rebuild (owner was in a cordia club so must of been done properly). All i can tell you is that once warmed up for ten minutes it boosts to 16psi without running out of fuel, would the factory ecu be capable of that?

Sorry bout the q's i dont know anything about these cars except this one hauls ass :) Oh and i got used to the brass button clutch but whats the best way to takeoff normally without it shaking the whole car?

Ill get some better pics once its cleaned as its a bit dirty at the moment, inside looks cool to wouldnt mind showing you guys :)

Also forgot to mention the a/c was removed to be able to fit the bigger turbo and cooler piping. And the power steering was removed cause apparently it was way too light while torque steer was induced... but yeah if anyone could tell me how to identify stock injectors, where the ecu is, how to set timing on these older motors and any other relevant info i would be ever so grateful as i want to find out everything about this car... i already scoured this and other cordia sites for wiring and vac diagrams, engine. maintenance specs and a few others that show where everything is under the hood so im halfway there..

nice ride mate :) but it'd def have normal efi fuel pump as mechanical pumps are only low pressure and for carby cars!
My std 4g62t had no issues running 15psi so i'm sure 16psi would've been achievable with the std ecu etc :)
