so i went to sydney on the weekend to visit the inlaws and also go and look at a car.. 1998 legnum, less that 120k k's (ticked over 120 on the way down)

had it looked over buy a mechanic today and all it needs for a roady is some rubber a couple of globes and a set of front pads, i was a bit wary of the auto but if you plant the foot the kickdown is almost instant while still being as soft as butter and with 5 speed tranny it cruises along at around low 2k rpm at 100 so it is fairly economical while cruising it also has genuine mits gps, only problem is, its in japanese, gotta see if i can get an english cd for it (nudge nudge wink wink trav :) )

i must say.. i love the 2.5 twin turbo as well.. would love to try and shoe horn one in a cordia.. hehe

anyway..

ya, i fear te day i actually have to do some mechanical work on it, probably not as bad as it looks but the fact that i am unable to find the oil filter is interesting.. i think it must be underneath and only acessable from a hoist/ramps.

i will call in one day on my way past and take you for a spin :) pm me your number again, i have had it in the past i think, but destroyed the phone

Its right at the front near the radiator. Real easy for oil changes.
As for being bastards to work on....book time is something like 12 hrs for a water pump and timing belt.
