cheers for the offer jimi!

on a side note lads, pulling it apart to get it abit more tidier.. ideally would love to pull the engine out and paint the bay, but from history im not bothered at putting it all back together so i don't think i'll go that path lol

box is coming out - new excedy heavy duty cushion button in
sorting out the gear insulator/slack from the shifter
intercooler piping remade and new hoses, current setup is 'just' connected at the joins
painting the front end from the guards forward

cheers

soooooo

thought i would take the chance to liven up this section a bit..

so! finally got the car back from the mechs, bit pissed off i missed out on the 4g dyno day :( also bit pissed off that its taken this long, but the good thing is the report came with next to fudge all the fix - bit pissed that it took that long for nothing to get done really

all that needs doing is very small.. random things like drivers caliper nipple cap, sealing the new floor plan plugs from underneath, middle exhaust hanger, LHS tie rod to be adjusted, securing rear hand brake cable and LHS rear bearing - mighten just need the hub centre bolt tighten

all very minimal which is the best thing! car goes back this week then i can start with the clutch some time, also the 272 cams.. also something which has been bugging me since i got the car is to get some new lowered springs, the current ones feel so old and saggy it feels like a boat!

cheers

small little update

did a wreckers trip today..came across a couple of hard to find things in the one day so that was a good score!

-manage to finally get a good condition spark plug cover to hide the plugs
-finally found an original complete set of tools and tool bag
-fitted a front recessed number plate holder
-purchased a battery bag to hide how ugly it is

yet to sort out all the wires and vac lines just to neaten them up a bit.

also as much as i wanted to do the clutch and cams, don't think i'll touch them as yet until i finish some renovations around the house.. its all too hard at the moment lol

cheers

cheers koray.. still yet to remove the emissions gear! its fricken ridiculous whenever i take a look at it

also would love to update with photos every time i work on it, but don't have my camera at the moment.

re-routed the rear hand brake cables and mounted them properly with steel mounts - by far the best thing you can do to make most of lock from the lines, the hand brake is fully locked now at half position being 4-5 clicks as oppose to full lock and just barely locking up the rears before..works good at 60ks still to test it at 80 lol

biggie to do now with all this melbourne shitty weather is to sus out the sunroof with new rubber seals.. i get puddles on the seats :(
